Despite the fact that I have a lot more grey hairs than I used to, and that my forehead seems to be growing at an exponential rate, I don’t see myself aging.
But when I look to the Hollywood elites and see much they’ve changed, I realize that I too am getting on in years.
So prepare to be humbled and check out these photos of how celebrities looked in their 20s compared to how they look now.
Leonardo DiCaprio will always be a dreamboat.
Back when I was a kid growing up, my sister used to have a poster of Leo hanging on the wall in her room. You know, the one from Romeo + Juliet where he has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth? It’s still to this day the sexiest photograph I’ve ever seen.
Goldie Hawn’s eyes would make ‘Bambi’ jealous.
I mean, just look at her! Those fluttering eyelashes and that piercing stare would be enough to bring anyone to their knees. Also, I’m pretty sure that Goldie is the only woman alive who could make Mrs. Claus s**y.
Dolly Parton still has it going on.
I have been a Dolly Parton truther for as long as I can remember and I’d never say a bad word about her. However, that beehive updo definitely wasn’t doing her any favors.
Have you ever seen a picture of Sam Elliot without a mustache?
Even back when he was a man in his 20s, Patrick still was bald as a cue ball. In spite of being follically challenged, he still went on to have an immensely successful career and become a real-life knight.
Oops…Britney Spears did it again.
If there’s more than 20 years difference between these two photographs, then please explain to me how somehow Britney looks even younger and sexier than ever before? Because she’s a boss — that’s how.
Jeff Goldblum is one tall drink of water.
There aren’t many middle-aged men out there who could rock a gold-plated grill and somehow manage to make it work. But then again, most men don’t even have half of the fashion sense and s*x appeal of Jeff Goldblum.
Christopher Walken on sunshine.
I have nothing but respect for Christopher Walken, but even I can’t take him seriously with that poor excuse for a Beatle haircut. Will somebody please do us a favor and get that man a barber!
Katie Holmes is an ageless wonder.
Whenever I look into Katie Holmes’ eyes, the theme song from Dawson’s Creek immediately starts playing over and over again in my head. Speaking of, when are we going to get that reboot working, Hollywood?
I’m what you’d call a Halle Berry “Stan”
I’m not saying that I’m obsessed, at least not in the dangerous sense of the word. I will say, however, that I would gladly drink Halle Berry’s bathwater. H**l, I’d probably ask for a refill!
Ryan Gosling still has the same youthful exuberance.
A lot of people like to claim that they’ve been riding with Ryan from the very beginning. But if you’ve never seen his episodes of Are you Afraid of the Dark? or his short-lived tenure on Breaker High — then you really don’t know him at all.
Harrison Ford might be the coolest man in the history of Hollywood.
Here’s a question that’s sure to ignite some debate: who do you think would win in a stare-down between Indiana Jones and Han Solo? All I know is that Han would undoubtedly shoot first .
Katy Perry still makes me feel like I’m living a “Teenage Dream”.
I didn’t think it was possible for me to love Katy any more than I already do. But then I went and discovered a photo of her wherein she’s wearing a Neal Adams-inspired Batman t-shirt. My heart is so full!
Kevin Costner brings all new meaning to the term “ruggedly handsome.”
Kevin Costner was born to be a cowboy… or at least born to play one on film! Speaking of, have you managed to get all caught up on the latest season of Yellowstone ? I, for one, wasn’t the biggest fan…
Robert De Niro is a living legend.
I think what I love most about Robert is his dynamic range as an actor. He can go from playing a ruthless mob boss in The Godfather Part II to having audiences rolling in the aisle with films like Meet the Parents and Analyze This .
Helen Mirren is, was, and always will be a stunner.
Dame Helen Mirren is my North Star. Her career has been nothing short of iconic. The way she’s managed to hold herself up over the years against patriarchal sexism and scrutiny has helped pave the way for young actresses all over the world.
