There are many things that happen to women in movies and TV shows that can only be classified as super cliche and cheesy. Sometimes, we don't think that these things can happen in real life, but in reality, they totally can. In life, some of the most cliche things can happen right before our very eyes, or even to us, when we least expect it.

A whole subway catch.

"I was on the subway and it came to an abrupt halt and then I fell and a man caught me in his arms Disney style. I looked up at him and this cute thirty-somethings guy had the biggest grin on his face. I felt so awkward as a little 19-year-old. So I just said sorry and thanked him for catching me," shared Successful-Disk-5782.

A tower full of books.

Abranurni shared that she was in a bookstore shopping for books when a guy she really likes walked in. She got flustered and she dropped all of her books. He came over and asked what book she was looking for—she was speechless and ended up choosing something random.

Someone call Mario.

Cupids_Halloween shared that it didn't happen to her, but to a friend of hers, that she slipped on a banana peel and fell right on her butt in front of a room full of people. Who knew it happened in real life outside of Mario Kart!?

Startouched1 said that she was outside of a grocery store looking at pumpkins when she and a cute guy had the entire "long gaze" that we see in rom-com films so often. The two locked eyes and stayed that way for quite some time. But, nothing came of it.

A film-worthy breakup.

"I broke up with an ex using a movie quote, then it started pouring down rain as he left. I was upset and wanted to be sure he made it to his truck so I looked out on the balcony. It was like a cheesy drama scene. I still cringe," said deathbypwrpoint.

The rough stuff.

"My boyfriend meeting me at the end of the day at my school (he went elsewhere) on Valentine's Day with flowers, teddy bear, candy, etc. We kissed. People clapped. It was gross.

Still have the teddy bear, our kids say it's creepy. I agree," shared ThatsNotVeryDerek.

Watch out for the glass.

manicfather11057 was at a party with friends when they went to the bathroom and when they came out, they walked straight up into a glass door—and fell backward. Everyone saw and it was remarkable.

Double the snacks.

"While waiting to board my red-eye flight, I decided to grab a snack at a vending machine.

Unfortunately, the vending machine didn't release the chips I paid for. After several attempts of slamming the front glass, a man who waited behind me— offered to try and help. He paid for his granola bar, which magically released both our snacks," said millipenny06.

What a way to get the ladies.

fujoshisisis said that they were on the bus, which was very crowded, when the bus driver stopped short and she fell back right into a guy's lap. His hand fell right under her back, too. It was a perfect moment.

That's just terrible luck.

"I was entering a shopping center and a guy standing there said “where have you been? I have been waiting for you for so long” I looked behind me and realized he was talking to me, I laughed and continue walking and he said, “I’m serious, I have been waiting for you” so I replied “oh yeh? How long? And he said, “26 years”(his age).

Long story short, we went shopping together, had dinner that night, moved in together a month later, and lived together for two years. We had a lovely relationship, he is an amazing human. We just wanted different things for our future," said AventureraToujours.
