That's right — Queen Elizabeth II used to have a pet chameleon! It's a fitting pet, considering the Queen herself is a bit of a fashion chameleon.

The Queen has always been partial to purple, and it isn't hard to understand why. Sure, the frock and fur stole are nice to look at, but they don't hold a candle to that iceberg she has wrapped around her neck.

This candid moment will live forever in infamy. Photographer Cecil Barton, "Claimed that Jackie was unimpressed with the palace furnishings and the Queen’s comparatively old-fashioned wardrobe and hairstyle," according to author/historian Carolyn Harris.

The dress that the Queen wore during the State Opening of Parliament looked quite similar to the one she wore during her coronation. It's actually the same dress that the Queen's granddaughter, Princess Beatrice, wore on her wedding day years later.

in this photo, the Queen somewhat resembles a nurse you'd see in an old Roger Rabit cartoon — and I mean that with all the respect I can muster.

I've looked high and low and this is one of the only pictures I've ever come across wherein Queen Elizabeth is wearing black gloves. They certainly bode well with the Queen's navy-blue peacoat and a matching dress that she wore on her trip to Scotland in 1974.

I know what you're thinking, but believe it or not — this photo wasn't taken on St. Patrick's Day. The Queen wore this little mint-green silk number to watch a polo match back in 1973.

By no means would anyone have ever accused Queen Elizabeth II of trying to upstage her daughter-in-law. Still, wearing a sky blue dress, complete with pearls and matching white gloves — Her Majesty certainly didn't pass through the room unnoticed.

A historic meeting of the minds.

I'm sure that Queen Elizabeth II wasn't purposely trying to upstage Nancy Reagan. That being said, her pearl-and-diamond tiara and a cream-colored gown exuded high fashion and were statement pieces, which few if anyone could contend with.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the Queen's dress and hat. But the best thing about this photo is the fact that she's holding a Hamilton Tiger-Cats game program.

The Queen isn't afraid to allow her fashion sense to change and adapt to the times. Her highlighter green frock paired with her iconic pearls is the perfect testament to '90s fashion. Can I please get a "Girl Power!"

Very seldom do we see the Queen wearing white (aside from her gloves, of course). But for the Star's concert in California, she decided to pull out all the stops.

Let's be honest — Pepto Bismol pink is a bold choice and a difficult one for anybody to execute with precision. But the Queen didn't get to where she is today by adhering to the rules.

The Queen's verbose color wheel proves that for every dress there is a season. It may not be as daring as some of her other fits, but I'm still a fan of the Queen in blue and white polka dots.

Every eye in the room was focused on the Queen as she made her entrance into the House of Lords for the State Opening of Parliament. Judging from the smile on her face, she was well aware of this fact.

There's something to be said for monochromatic color motifs.

It's almost as if Queen Elizabeth is quietly thinking to herself, "Dammit boy, have I taught you nothing?!" No offense meant, Harry, but tails and pinstripe pants don't look good on anyone — except the Penguin.

Clothes can be used to make powerful statements, a fact that Queen Elizabeth II knows all too well. She wore this delightful ensemble to a polo match, complete with the Vanguard Rose Brooch which she received in 1944.
