Queen Elizabeth II Celebrates Her 95th Birthday

It's hard to believe it's already HRH Queen Elizabeth's 96th birthday today!

Now, the Royal Family's social media account is letting fans know how the Queen will be observing her birthday in the days after her husband's death.

Of course, it's hard to forget that the Queen's husband of 73 years, HRH Prince Philip, was laid to rest just this past Sunday.

In an effort to send good vibes to The Queen, fans have been flooding the Royal Family's Instagram account with sweet messages for the 95-year-old.

In a statement posted on social media, HRH thanked fans for their well wishes.

"While as a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort to us all to see and to hear the tributes paid to my husband from those within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and around the world," she wrote to fans.

Posting a sweet picture of Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Family's Instagram account shared an additional message.

"Today is The Queen’s 95th birthday. The Queen was born at 2.40am on 21 April 1926 at 17 Bruton Street in Mayfair, London. She was the first child of The Duke and Duchess of York, who later became King George VI and Queen Elizabeth," the statement read.

"This year Her Majesty remains at Windsor Castle, during a period of Royal Mourning following the death of The Duke of Edinburgh."
