20 Funny Things That Weren't How We Remembered Them

When we look back on things from the past, they can seem much more perfect than they actually were. However, this doesn't just apply to things from our childhood but to things that happened just twenty minutes ago…if that!

So, from people who didn't remember Spongebob when he was in his David Cronenberg phase to individuals who don't know a Big Mac from a Big MacDougal, here are 20 funny things that weren't how we remembered them!

"I don't remember this one..."

Apparently there are a whole series of adult Goosebumps books, as one person noted: "That's the Goosebumps for adults series. The next is called 'you’ll never fit into those jeans again' followed by 'doing your taxes.' Real scary stuff.

"Found this at my local Walmart..."

The fact that they have so blatantly tried to rip off Stranger Things is weirdly admirable. The girl on the front cover also looks like she wants to be doing anything other than staring in this movie.

"This Lightning McQueen jumping castle just looks depressed..."

He also looks anything but sober. Those weird green plants at the front make it look as though he is flipping everyone off as well, what an absolute catastrophe of a bouncy castle.

"I love off-brand names."

Other rip off's of "I can't believe it's not butter" include: "There is a chance that this might be butter," "Alas, no butter resides in yonder packet," and, "This isn't butter, reality isn't real, you're dreaming..."

"Dollar Store Simpsons Dolls..."

Why are the eyes so different on each one? I know that there is a lot more going wrong here but the eyes are particularly terrifying. I am sure that the person who made these is made up at their handiwork, but they're the stuff of nightmares.

"You're a wizard Hannah."

The Hannah Montan series of books include such titles as "Hannah Montan and the Philadelphia Cheese Steak," "Hannah Montan and the Chamber That Is None Of Your Bloody Business," and, "Hannah Montan and the Map That Is A Weird Invasion Of People's Privacy."

"When you order Spongebob on Wish."

Well, I know what I will having terrifying nightmares about tonight thanks to this abomination. Why do I feel as though this Spongebob inflatable is planning out what would be the best way to devour me?

"Mmm, delicious Kam."

I cannot imagine what the quality of meat is like in a tin of Kam. I mean, a tin of Spam is hardly the highest grade of meat, so I dread to think of what Kam is like.

"This KFC rip off..."

I really like this one! I would be quite curious to try a fast food restaurant that specialises exclusively in fish and chicken dishes. Although, I do not think that it would sit well with anyone's stomach.

"I faintly remember a yellowish, spreadable foodstuff meant to provide flavor..."

The explanation behind this one was:

"This is Superstore's (a grocery store chain in Canada) brand President's Choice. They made this line called 'Memories Of', but I didn't even realize they made butter, only sauces. The butter one doesn't make any sense, but the sauces are all 'Memories of Spain', or 'Memories of Thailand' which I thought meant that they were supposed to have hints of traditional cuisine from that specific area. Like, it reminds you of or is inspired by food from that area kind of thing."

"I had realistic dreams as a kid."

What a wonderfully specific wish for the future! When you're a child you think that the future is going to be full of wonders...when, in reality, it is just a lot of emailing and doing your taxes.

"My town can only afford the off-brand R2-D2..."

After finding fame early in life, R2-D2 struggled to get work post-Star Wars. Instead, R2 turned to a life of alcoholism, drug abuse, and whistling and beeping for loose change in public parks.

"Who remembers these classic board games?"

I think that my personal favorite is "Dog Doctor." I particularly like how it says, "A game of strategy" on the box. I think that operation was more a game of steady-handedness than strategy?

"Monsters Dru."

The fact that someone took the time to actually make this is just wonderful. I feel as though it is staring right into my soul and nibbling away at it. Let's not hang around on this one for too long.

"Docter Thunder, NaNaNaNaNa Dr. Thunder."

A few people actually claimed that this one tastes better than actual Dr. Pepper. Although, it would be pretty damn hard for something to taste worse than Dr. Pepper. It just tastes of sadness, regret, and pain.

"When you just can't find a big mac."

One mascot that you do not want to get on the side is Ronald MacDougal. That clown has beaten up every mascot that has ever dared to get on the wrong side of him!

"George Washington, just how I remember him."

One person did point out, "He existed before the advent of photography and also in the old days they used demand painters to make the portrait way better looking than the real thing. For all we know this could have been how George Washington really looked like."

"Can someone explain what is happening here at h&m? Who is buying these gowns from the 1918 funeral collection?"

Ah yes, I know that a lot of people have been trying to recapture a sense of Victorian plight in their fashion this year.

"This not at all centred pillar at a church in my city."

I always remember churches as being a little better assembled than this. Maybe this is meant to be a statement on how God is the only true support that their roof needs?

"You are NOT going to believe what happened while you were gone."

"Now, call me mad, but I do not think that the couch was in a hundred pieces when I left for work this morning?"

"Nope, it absolutely was. Definitely nothing suspicious going on here."
