20 Wild Coincidences That Are Almost Too Much To Believe

There's nothing stranger than a coincidence. When something happens that you wouldn't expect, it can be pretty hard to believe. But if it's happening in front of your own two eyes, chances are it's real.

These people snapped pictures of strange coincidences and things that just happened to have gone down in front of them. They're all pretty wild if you ask me.

"Funeral home located on a dead end street in St. Michael's, MD."

I'm sure that, when these people decided to start this funeral home, they didn't set out to put it on a dead end street. But the fact that it's there is strangely fitting. A super interesting coincidence, that's for sure.

"There was a little pasta Stegosaurus in my penne."

Well, would you look at that. A tiny dinosaur macaroni among a container full of penne. That's definitely the last thing you'd expect to find in there.

I guess the company that made this pasta makes a lot of different pasta shapes?

"My sock matched this wall in a dressing room."

Now this is a wild coincidence. I'd believe that a person would have socks on with the iconic carpet design from The Shining, but what are the odds that a store dressing room would have it too? I wouldn't take that as a good sign...

"Asked my wife to take a pic of me petting a Prairie Dog, this happened instead."

That prairie dog just so happens to be in the wrong place at the right time. It shouldn't be that surprising, given where this couple is, but it's still pretty neat. Who would've thought that one little prairie dog could be so photogenic?

"Set the bagels on the table and came back to see this."

I guess this kind of thing could've happened to anyone, but it would still be quite the shock to come back to after setting a package of bagels down. Are the bagels in pain? Is the person in pain? I sure hope not!

"Said to my wife these houses have a bug problem, she didn't get it."

What are the odds that two next door neighbors would have the same car? And not just any old car, either. It's a Volkswagen Beetle! This isn't the kind of car you see every day.

Yeah, that's definitely pretty wild.

"Two seperate [*sic*] people spilled raw spaghetti, and then pasta sauce in a warehouse. It made spaghetti on the floor."

I almost feel like the second person just followed the first person's lead. But still, what are the odds that these two people would have the exact ingredients to make floor spaghetti (which would obviously be too gross to eat)?

"License plate on the car in front of me on the way back from buying a Zelda game."

In case you didn't know, the guy in green on that video game cover is named Link. So to see a licence plate that says Link on it after you just went and bought a game that stars someone named Link? Pretty wild coincidence for sure.

"I found $10 while scooping sludge at my wastewater treatment plant."

Maybe this is more of a lucky (or unlucky) find than a coincidence, but I thought it would fit in this list. After all, how often do you just find ten bucks in a pile of sludge? Probably not that often I'd say.

"A hawk on my car this morning."

I feel like hawks tend to stay away from humans as much as possible. So the fact that this person saw one on their car tells me it's probably just a coincidence that they happened to look outside at that moment.

Hopefully it left quickly.

"There's a friendly raccoon in Florida that compulsively steals equipment from scuba divers! Here he is with my mask."

Ah, of course. A raccoon stealing your diving gear just as you're getting ready to use it. Pretty gross (even if raccoons are kind of cute).

It might be time to find a new place to keep your scuba diving equipment.

"Bird landed on the wiper of my truck and took a ride for about 5 minutes."

Seriously, what are the odds of something like this happening? I can't imagine they'd be very high. Birds tend to avoid cars, not land on them and hitch a ride for a few minutes. It's a good thing this one didn't get itself hurt.

"This chips looks like map icon."

This chip does, in fact, look like one of those little map way-finder icons. I could actually picture it being on a Google Maps page or something. All because it just so happens to be the right shape, and have a suspiciously round hole in it.

"1 point deduction for dead moth."

I guess this is more irony than a coincidence, but still. Imagine hanging your sign up to prove you passed your health inspection with flying colors, only to have a dead moth stuck to it.

Good thing a moth or two won't lower the score.

"Paper wasps living in a broken pipe."

I'm sure that if anyone ever tried to move that pipe, they'd be in for a rude awakening. I wouldn't want to mess with them, even if they're paper wasps, which are less aggressive than other species. It just doesn't seem like a smart move.

"I accidentally dressed like the chair at my dentist appointment today."

I really wonder how something like this could've happened. Is it this person's first time going to this dentist, and they just so happened to wear this? Or did this person accidentally choose this outfit because they were thinking of the dentists' office?

"My girlfriend got two Fruit by the Foot in one."

Now this is the kind of coincidence I like to see. Getting an extra Fruit by the Foot in a package seems like good luck. and it's definitely one way to make up for the fact that package sized for all kinds of food seem to be getting smaller these days.

"The word flavored was misspelled on the new Snapple bottles."

So close, yet so far. At least this bottle of Snapple almost had the word right. They're just missing an E.

But the fact that such a glaring typo ended up getting printed... and sold... and noticed by people... That's no good.

"My mom ran into someone with the same tattoo as her in the same spot as her just mirrored."

This is literally the most bonkers thing I've ever seen. That tattoo doesn't seem like it would be super common, and yet two people have it on their ankles. It really is like looking at a mirror image!

"By complete coincidence, the trees along this street matched the colors of the buildings."

This definitely isn't the kind of thing you can plan. Since trees change color on their own, and not when they see other trees doing it, this would be completely by chance. And yet, it worked out so well.
