Halloween is a time for getting candy . But one girl decided to give candy instead, when she really didn’t need to. A TikTok showing the girl’s deeds has gone totally viral.
Shortly after Halloween, Ashli Saballos ( @ashlisaballos ) posted a video showing Ring camera footage of the girl, who had accompanied her younger brother while trick-or-treating.
The short clip shows both siblings walking up to the porch and find that the bowl is empty.

They then have a scare from a porch decoration before the sister begins taking candy out of a plastic bag she had with her. She then puts the candy into the bowl.
The brother watches her and asks, “You’re putting candy back?”

“No I’m just giving some,” she responds. The brother takes a little bit of candy, and the TikTok ends with the pair leaving for the next house.
It’s pretty easy to see why the TikTok went viral.
With over 6 million views in just a few days, many people were expressing how much the girl in the TikTok deserved praise.
“The way she didn’t even hesitate to do it, and then put even more in from her second bag,” one user commented.
No one had a bad thing to say about her, and saw her as such a good role model for her brother.

Another commenter wrote, “That’s called raising them right. Awesome young lady.”
One user even suggested, “Find that girl and give her something special for being so kind.”
And that’s exactly what Ashli ended up doing.

In a follow-up TikTok, Ashli explains that she posted the video in her neighborhood’s Facebook page, and managed to track down the girl’s mom.
“I wanted to get her something special and thoughtful because of how special and thoughtful and selfish she was,” Ashli says.
She shows off the swag she bought for the girl.
She bought a basket at Burlington’s and filled it with things like a notepad, markers, a blanket, and a water bottle. She’d planned on contacting the girl’s mom to arrange the drop off.
Ashli later posted a video showing the girl, who happily held the gift basket.
The short clip is just a picture of the girl with a caption that reads, “She’s 12 and an absolute sweetheart! She kept saying ‘you didn’t have to do that.’ She didn’t even really know what TikTok was.”
Most recently, Ashli posted a video showing the girl’s full reaction to the gift.

“So I posted your video on TikTok,” Ashli tells the girl. “And I just wanted to show you, you got 1.2 million views.” At least, that was the view count when Ashli showed her.
She then gives the girl the basket.
The girl was incredibly humble and didn’t feel that she needed anything in return, but eventually accepted the basket.
“I just wanted to say thank you,” Ashli said to the girl toward the end of the video.
Once again, comments poured in to praise the girl.

“We don’t deserve her, what a kind soul,” one commenter wrote.
Another said, “such a sweet girl! Good people get good things coming to them.”
I hope she knows that her small action had a huge impact.
