Many people experience insomnia and sleepless nights on a regular basis. There are many things that can cause people to toss and turn in bed, despite feeling tired or exhausted.
Sometimes, people operate at a lower capacity when they do not sleep enough at night. Therefore, getting a full night of rest is important for optimal functioning the following day.
There are many things that cause insomnia.

Some things that contribute to insomnia are stress and anxiety. When your brain is operating on overload and running 1,000 miles an hour, it’s hard to relax and get some serious shut-eye at night.
Having a bad sleep schedule also impacts insomnia.

If you are someone who does not go to bed on a regular schedule, it can impact your ability to fall asleep when you want to. Getting yourself on a solid schedule is important for regular sleeping patterns.
Sleeplessness can cause a lot of long-term and short-term issues.

Short-term, those who do not get enough sleep tend to be irritable and angry. They also perform slowly and sluggishly throughout their day at work or other activities that are imperative.
Lack of sleep can cause serious health issues, too.

Lack of sleep can also cause high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure, or stroke. And, it can have a serious impact on a person’s mental health, causing depression, too.
If you are looking for a way to get to sleep easier, there are a ton of things to try.

Fortunately, TikTok is always in the clutch when they come up with hacks and tips to help us in a multitude of ways. Recently, one TikTok user shared a sleep hack that is set to help you go to sleep quicker.
“Younger You Doc” sets out to help everyone feel “younger.

@youngeryoudoc shares videos online that showcase tips, tricks, and even some studies that help them “be their youngest selves” according to his TikTok page. In one video, he shares some sleep hacks that will help anyone who tosses and turns at night.
In the video, he claims it’s all about a spot on our wrists.

In the video, the TikTok user shares that rubbing the area on your wrist with your fingers for several minutes can help you relax and fall asleep much easier.
Apparently, it works because of acupressure.

According to Dr. Shari Auth, chief healing officer and co-founder of WTHN , an acupuncture clinic, the reason this trick actually works is that the wrist is one of the several points of sleep in acupressure.
“There are four acupressure points starting at the pinky side of the wrist crease and moving up the inner forearm,” Dr. Shari Auth, told Bustle .
The pressure points are great for stress and anxiety.

The exact pressure points are called Heart 4, 5, 6, and 7. When you rub them and focus on them, it can help to eliminate and diminish stress. This can put your body in a state of relaxation which is going to help you fall asleep faster.
This hack should then work for those who suffer from sleeplessness.

“They are good for insomnia and are excellent to rub at bedtime. These points are commonly used by acupuncturists to treat sleep, palpitations, and mental health issues such as depression and anxiety,” said Dr. Shari Auth.
The TikTok user also shares tons of other hacks and tricks on his account.
