Ask any etiquette expert or civilized human being you know and they’ll tell you that there are certain rules wedding guests must follow.
No. 1 is an obvious one: NO wearing white to a wedding. Even an off-white is tacky.
When one woman broke this tradition , she looked so stunning that people thought that she was the bride. Now, the bold move is causing people to see red.
Every bride wants to look their best on their wedding day.

It’s their day, after all. The attention deserves to be on them! Of course, some brides take this wish too far.
This one bride, for example, encroached on total bridezilla territory when she uninvited her friend to her wedding because she looked so good.

German model, Alena Yildiz, was the bridesmaid who was uninvited.
She took to TikTok to share her story. “My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me,” she captioned the clip.
“Still took some fire pics in it tho,” she added, before showing off the dress and how good she looked in it.
She told Insider that the bride called her and said that the dress she picked was too attention-grabbing.
“She was very angry about the whole situation and ended up uninviting me after the call. We got into a fight because it made no sense to me since she chose that dress herself.”
Alena’s not the only person to steal attention from the bride!

A snap of an anonymous woman attending a wedding has gone viral online.
People assumed that she was the bride because of her silky, white dress.
“Found this whilst looking at a hashtag for a wedding venue…. That is not the bride,” she captioned read.

They went on to explain how they knew she wasn’t the bride. “In her post the caption was thanking the bride and groom for the invite and in her group of photos there was a video of the actual bride entering the reception with the groom.”
People were shocked to discover that she wasn’t the bride because of how stunning she looked.

“Wtf! I thought this was a post in r/weddingdress and was gonna comment ”that looks amazing!” one wrote.
“Oof. That would be a great wedding dress though,” another added.

People loved the dress so much, they even started inquiring about where it was from. “Can anyone tell me where her dress is from,” this user wrote.
Soon, though, people began to see red over her white dress.

“A glass of merlot is going to show up beautifully on that dress,” one Redditor commented, insinuating that they would’ve thrown a glass of wine on it if they were the bride.
“You can really tell when some [expletive] didn’t get hugged as a kid,” another harshly added.

Yikes! One Redditor explained the reasoning for the backlash, writing that unless the bride specifically asks close female family members to wear white, any type of white or cream dress of any style is taboo at weddings.
“You just don’t do it! No matter how well the dress looks on you!” they added.

Too late for that! This bride, erm, guest, may have caused quite a stir, but at least she looked good doing it!
