20 Design Choices More Frustrating Than Spreading Butter On Cold Bread

Life is full of many highs, lows, joys, and frustrations. Some days (or weeks... or months... or years...) feel like they might have more frustrations than the other stuff, but nothing helps ease the frustration like being able to laugh about them and share them with others.

Here are some absolutely frustrating design choices to make you feel a little bit better about whatever's been frustrating you recently.

On second thought, I don't have to go as bad as I thought I did.

This Reddit user shared a bathroom stall that leaves quite a lot to be desired. About a foot and a half at least to be desired, by my calculations.

At least your face is hidden?

Sing us a song, you're the corner piano man.

Now I'm all for trying to save a little space, but this piano seems a little bit dramatic. Better hope whatever song you're playing doesn't need those three or four notes right in the middle there!

As if communicating at the drive-thru wasn't tough enough.

Not only is this drive-thru menu incredibly hard to read, it doesn't even look like everything has a price listed. I think I'll take my chances at McDonalds, actually.

Happy new...? year!

I know making these new years glasses has been tough ever since we left the 00s, but there's gotta be a better way than this.

Or maybe we're just welcoming back 2002!

No breaks, just Kit Kat.

As this Reddit user pointed out, these Halloween KitKat designs can't actually be broken like Kit Kats are supposed to be.

Guess you'll just have to bite both sticks at once. Or get out a knife and fork!

Do you want to open the doors? Or open the doors?

This elevator has decided that it's SO rude to press the door-close button that we don't even get the option anymore. Closing the doors is a privilege, not a right.

Pantord Lningok: It's Time To Shine.

If I have to spend longer than 20 seconds staring at your shirt to read it, I'm going to assume the message isn't for me. I've got other things to do today!

By the way, the shirt actually says "Planning to rock," if you couldn't figure it out.

With my luck, this is the locker I'd get assigned.

On the bright side, at least this one random skinny locker is too small to shove anyone into, so if you get assigned to this one, you're safe from at least ONE form of bullying.

On the other hand, I hope you don't live anywhere where you might need to wear a winter jacket. Or, you know, a backpack.

Whatever you do, don't make a U-Turn.

No, this isn't a free-for-all stop light where you can just kinda do whatever you want. This is the state of some stoplights in Lake Tahoe, where the design lets snow build up inside the lights and totally block them out.

Drive safe, I guess?

Look both ways before going down the slide.

Sure, this seems like a patently bad idea, but look on the bright side! It's the perfect slide for kids who like to live a little dangerously!

Got it?!

This sign makes my brain hurt. I know what all the individual bits are, but I just cannot make sense of the intended message. I'd only call 911 at this place if they could connect me directly to the grammar police.

Good old Kings Sroad.

A Reddit user shared this beautiful light display with one glaringly frustrating design choice. Why not just make the word "road" BIGGER? That S could have had a family waiting for him at home before you cut it in half!

Just like my exes say about me, this spatula is cute but useless.

The Reddit user who shared this spatula wrote that it hardly works, and I can see why — holes, for one, but also it's an annoying shape at a horrible angle to try to use for anything other than looking cute on a counter.

Sorry, Gingy.

Is this why the call the show Doctor WHO?

Yes, this shirt is supposed to say "TIMELORD" and not, like I initially read, "TMFLORD." Somehow I don't think this is going to be the new logo for the show.

Yum...

I don't exactly know why a soap company would make a mouthwatering fruit chew scented hand soap, unless they're trying to undermine mothers everywhere who threaten to wash their kids' mouths out with soap for swearing.

Who doesn't love stubbing their toe trying to walk to the toilet?

This sneaky step right before the toilet would definitely be a magnet for my toes, especially during those late night, can't be bothered to turn on the lights kinds of pee trips.

Literally.

Trying to read this mug makes me need another coffee.

What is it even trying to say? Stressed, blessed, and ??? obsessed... well, it's definitely got at least one of those right. After trying to read this text, I'm definitely stressed.

What time is it? Well...

I almost have to hand it to whoever made this watch. It takes a lot of courage to try to reinvent the wheel. Sure, it didn't work very well, and definitely won't catch on, but at least they did something bold!

Ever trip on a curb? How about a curb's curb?

As this Reddit user pointed out, this is a curb that has its own curb. Great! Just what we all needed — two chances to stub our toes trying to get on the sidewalk!

If the Comic Sans wasn't bad enough...

I'm not quite sure I'd trust this barbershop to line up a fade properly if they can't even line up the letters on their sign. Not everyone's cut out for the barber life!
