Mom Shares ‘Elf On The Shelf’ Prank Which Left Her With A Stark New Hairstyle

For parents across the globe it is that time of year when elves run rampant upon shelves throughout the house, moving things around, leaving cute notes covered in glitter everywhere, and engaging in pesky pranks.

However, one woman took her elf on the shelf antics to a whole new level recently in the build up to the holidays!

One Missouri mother has been taking to social media to share her elf on the shelf antics in order to spread some Christmas cheer.

Mindy Carney has been enjoying leaving all manner of wonderful elf on the shelf antics for her kids to discover when they wake up each morning.

Mindy's house is home to three little elves who go by the names Cutie Pie, Hot Dog, and Sprinkles.

Cutie pie was the first elf to arrive back in 2016, and Mindy has thoroughly enjoyed finding creative ways to entertain her three children with the three elves this year.

However, the most recent "prank" that Mindy had the elves play was to have them cut her hair while she slept!

Yes, Mindy actually had her elves take things up a notch by giving her a serious haircut!

As you can see from the pictures above, Mindy staged the scene perfectly after having taken a large chunk of hair from the left side of her head.

Mindy had already apparently been planning on cutting her hair, so decided to have a bit of fun with it.

Also, Mindy donated all of the hair that she had cut off to a charity which makes wigs for children.

Children with Hair Loss is a non-profit organization which makes and provides wigs for children who have lost their hair due to medical reasons.

"[My hair] went to a good cause other than just making people laugh," Mindy told Fox News. "It's all about the Christmas spirit and making magic for the kids."

Many people were massively moved by the lengths that Mindy goes to entertaining her kids, while also helping children in need.

In response to the photo of the note Mindy had left to her kids (from the elves), one person touchingly wrote, "I just balled my eyes out reading this to my son. I didn't expect that kind of ending. My son cut 35 inches of his hair because his dad [died] of cancer."

Hopefully Mindy will be able to think of more fantastic "pranks" for her house's pesky elves to be playing in the future!
