Viral Hack Has People Making Tinsel 'Fireworks' Instead Of Wrapping It Around The Tree

Are you looking for something new to do with your tree? Never fear, because TikTok is here!

One user figured out a new thing to do with tinsel, and it's actually adorable. Goodbye, random strands on the tree. Hello, cute new style!

Here we go!

So, what you're going to do is take the end of your tinsel and wrap it around the tip of one of your tree's branches. Tuck the end into the tight loop and cut the end off.

Trim up the loose ends.

If you can't get the whole looping thing right, try simply tying a knot! Cut any strands that get caught in the looping process and fluff your tinsel strands out to create some dimension.

The result is actually awesome.

It's a fireworks tree! I think this hack gives the tree a very mid-century, retro kind of vibe. I'm super into how the branches pop with the bursts of tinsel on them!

Some people loved it!

They loved that it looks like the tree is bursting with fireworks! That's exactly what I think it looks like, too. It's so fun and festive, and it also has a New Year's vibe!

Others pointed out some issues.

Honestly, I think you could reuse them! Just loosen them off the branch and rewrap them next year. If you tied a knot, leave it in the knot shape and pop it back on the branch next time!

A lot of people commented that it was never coming off.

Teana made another TikTok demonstrating her pulling the tinsel off the tree, then reattaching it without an issue. So no, it's not permanent. And yes, it is reusable!

But was it time consuming?

As it turns out, no! Most of Teana's time was used picking out the placement for the fireworks themselves. It didn't take much time to get them wrapped on the branches, which makes me feel great about wanting to try this out.

People who didn't like it got pretty loud.

I think people on the internet have forgotten that we don't have to comment on every single thing we don't care for. We can just keep scrolling if we're not into it.

So, what do you think?
