Celebrities Who Were Canceled For No Good Reason

When we think of celebs who deserve to be canceled, a few come to mind. Chris Brown, Mel Gibson, Paula Deen.

They dug their own graves due to their horrid actions, which include physical abuse and racism.

But then, there are the celebs who were canceled for no good reason. Come see if you sympathize with them after hearing their stories!

Anne Hathaway

It's hard to look at Anne's smiling face and think that anyone could hate her.

But for a few years, there were "Hathahaters." This started after she gave what people described as an "awkward" Oscar acceptance speech for Les Miśerables.

Corey Feldman

"He was the first who told everyone what was really going on with child actors in Hollywood and no one listened. Barbara Walters yelled at him for exposing it." - u/deleted

Amanda Bynes

"From what I've seen she was abused by Dan Schneider at Nickelodeon studios for YEARS and a lot like britney is currently under conservatorship because of a total mental break." - u/Awkward_Apricot312.

It's such a shame, considering how talented she is.

Rebecca Black

While, yes, we can all agree that "Friday" was a bad song, this Redditor pointed out that she didn't deserve death threats and all the backlash she got. She was only 13 at the time!

Jake Lloyd

Disney

"Not so much anymore, but Jake Lloyd. He was a decent enough child actor, but the hate he received after The Phantom Menace from grown adults was disgusting." - u/weebnurse1990.

Sadly, the actor has gone on to suffer mental health issues.

Paul Rubens

"He got 'cancelled' because he was arrested for public indecency. He was caught masturbating in an adult theater. Aside from the undercover cop who caught him, he was alone, and it was a normal adult pornography film." - u/mahouyousei

Brendan Fraiser

Oh, Brendan. It's so sad thinking about how Hollywood did him so dirty.

He was canceled after he dared to speak out about a sexual assault incident from HFPA's Philip Berk. His career was never the same after that.

Laura Dern

"When Laura Dern played Ellen’s girlfriend on the episode where she came out, she was blacklisted by the industry for nearly a decade. And some people would harass her to the point she needed protection in public." -u/antmars

The Dixie Chicks

"I will say the dixie chicks was probably one where i was like 'all they did was say they didn't support the war and are getting death threats' and when you consider how poorly the war went, they kinda had a point." - u/deleted

Jenna Marbles

The famous YouTuber left the platform after old videos resurfaced of her wearing blackface and mocking Asian people.

People are sad she's gone since she seemed genuinely remorseful for the things she's done in the past.

Aziz Ansari

"My first thought was Aziz Ansari, thrown in a basket with sexual predators, for being too eager to have a one-night-stand with a girl that was planning on having a one-night-stand with him." - u/Pandoras_Amygdala

Megan Fox

While she's still acting today, her movie career isn't nearly as prominent as it used to be. After she called Michael Bay out for being sexist and called him a Nazi, she was essentially blacklisted.

Sinead O'Connor

The singer saw her career go up in flames over one SNL appearance. She had torn up a picture of Pope John Paul II over sexual assault allegations against the church. In the end, those allegations were proven to be true.

James Gunn

"I was pretty upset for James Gunn when he got fired from Marvel for things he had said over 10 years ago, but obviously fan outrage over that managed to make Disney realize how stupid their decision was." - u/Qyro

Janet Jackson

"She was blacklisted from radio stations, CBS, NBC, FOX, you name it, she was banned. All because Justin [expletive[ Timberlake forcibly removed her clothes in a performance. And yet he was not affected at all." - u/deleted

Liam Neeson

One bad interview completely derailed the actor's remarkable career. In an interview, he admitted to having a racially violent past when he was younger and naive.

This caused the interviewer to twist the narrative and make Liam look like a racist.

Terry Crews

"Not only women are sexually harassed. He would go to parties and women would grab his junk thinking its appropriate. He spoke up and was shunned from a lot of the industry." - u/WhinniePooed

Ashley Judd

The actress was canceled after she accused Harvey Weinstein, one of the most powerful men in Hollywood, of sexual abuse. When she brought it to court, it was dismissed by a court in California. She sued Weinstein in 2018.

Britney Spears

"She just had her reputation smeared all over primetime tv and THEN the courts decide that her reaction to being systematically erased from relevance was 'crazy.'" - u/deleted.

Thankfully, Britney was recently released from her conservatorship.
