Moms Are Normalizing How Funny Their Babies Looked When They Were Born

Many people expect to have babies come out of the womb looking absolutely stunning and perfect. Truth be told, most moms know that the first few months are always the hardest because our kids look like aliens for a bit. It's okay to admit it, it's the honest truth.

While not all moms are ready to say it, some moms online are normalizing their babies' hilarious looks when they're first born.

Moms on TikTok are sharing real photos of their newborns to make other moms feel better.

One mom, TikTok user @lucybaehr, shared a funny video in which she shows several adorable photos of her pregnant, captioning it, "Not me thinking my baby would be the cutest newborn and look just like me..."

Lucy then shared several photos of her daughter.

In the photos, the mom said her daughter has had "quite the glow up."

People on TikTok were laughing hysterically, with some saying she looks like Mr. Bean. Others said that it's crazy how moms carry babies for nine months only for them to pop out looking like their dad.

One person said she even looked like John Goodman.

Other moms are jumping in, too.

TikTok user @lizzyb917 also decided to hop onto this trend of showcasing real photos of their newborn babies. The mom said that she and her husband discussed how they would react to their baby if she's weird-looking, swearing they would still think she's beautiful.

But, the mom admitted she called her Dani Devito for the first month of her life.

TikTok users agree that moms roasting their own babies is their favorite trend and it makes everyone else feel better because not all babies are cute at first.

One mom commented saying, "Babies just don't get cute until the three-month mark." Does anyone else agree?

She shared the classic cone head pic.

Did you know that this is why most nurses rush to put a hat on the baby's head right after being born? It's so the parents won't freak out over the cone head. Look it up!

The trend has taken off in the best way possible.

TikToker @marissaaho hopped on the trend, and shared what every single mother seems to be told at the start.

"You're going to make the most beautiful baby."

She followed it up with her newborn looking...like a newborn.

If I'm being honest, this baby, however precious and perfect, looks weirdly like me when I'm 3 hours into a twenty-minute nap.

TikToker @michellemiamay introduced the world to her precious bundle of joy, starting with an absolutely adorable pregnancy announcement.

...and then graced us with her little one's newborn looks.

"She needed a little time but she's adorable now," the mom wrote.

And we don't doubt that for a second. Can I also just add that this baby has incredible hair?

Anyway, let's put an end to the saying that all babies are cute.

The truth is, they're simply not.

Do they grow into their looks eventually? 100% yes.

But in the meantime, can we make fun of them, even just a little? We only get so many little joys in life.
