Paralyzed Mom-To-Be Believes In Miracles After She Walks Down The Aisle At Her Wedding

Many women dream of their ideal wedding day. All the way from the days of being a little girl, there are women all over who plan their special day in their heads.

Many times, people even keep scrapbooks and boxes to compile ideas and clippings from magazines and newspapers, stacking up until they finally get to say "I do" one day. But it doesn't always work out perfectly.

Sometimes, our plans get a bit derailed.

There are many times in life when the unexpected happens and we are derailed from our hopes and dreams.

When this happens, we can feel rather down on ourselves and very low. But, there are also times in life when miracles can happen.

On the day of their wedding, many brides wish to walk down the aisle with their mother or their father.

The walk down the aisle is something that every wedding includes, with everyone watching the bride walk up to the alter.

However, some brides have some setbacks in life.

After a devastating accident, one woman was told she would never be able to walk again.

Brittney Bedwell was in a terrible ATV accident that left her paralyzed and unable to walk on her own.

But, when life hands you a miracle, you know you take it.

Bedwell said once she got over that anxiety and depression of being paralyzed, she woke up one day and started to feel some things in her legs.

This gave her a sign of hope to know that her battle was not over.

From there, Bedwell began to gain some of her movement back.

For months, Bedwell worked in physical therapy to regain function in her legs, little by little. But, despite her physical journey, she says that the "mental" journey was the hardest one to undergo.

She spent months in the hospital, where her husband Glenn even proposed to her.

After being told she would never walk again, she made sure she did on her special day.

Despite doctors saying that she would never be able to walk again, Bedwell got up the strength to make it down the aisle for her wedding to her now-husband, Glenn.

Using a walker and the support of her father, Bedwell was able to walk down the aisle.

It was something that was very meaningful to Bedwell.

“It was really important to me because I got to watch my sisters walk down the aisle with him, and I knew I wanted to do that, so I had to push myself even harder,” Bedwell told WISH.

A lot of the support, Bedwell says, came from her family.

“I have my kids, I have my husband and I have my family and friends and they’re all in my corner so I’m pushing for them because they’re pushing for me,” she said of the accomplishments she has been able to make over the months.

Bedwell also defied doctor's expectations in another way, as well.

She was told that, because of her injury, she would struggle to get pregnant and to have kids again. However, now, Bedwell is not only making strides walking, but she is also four months pregnant.

What a truly beautiful story!
