Man's Decision To Install Astroturf In His Car Confuses People Online

When I got my first car, I celebrated by buying some Star Wars floor mats with Darth Vader on them. I also bought some rhinestoned stickers to spell out her name (it was "Myka," thank you for asking) and popped them on the dashboard.

What I did do was go out and buy astroturf to put in every crevice of my car. But hey, different strokes, right?

Well, that sure is a car full of grass.

Here it is in all its glory. I don't really know what to say about this, to be honest. It's a car absolutely done up to the nines with astroturf. I don't understand it, but I somehow get it.

I don't think you understand just how much astroturf got put in this car.

It wasn't just the floors. It was the cupholders, the door pulls, and even the middle console. If grass could fit in it, then grass was going on it.

But we're not really here for the car itself. We're here for the REACTIONS.

So, most of them looked like this. There were no middling opinions in this comment section: people either loved it, or they deeply, irrevocably hated it. We love a divided comment section.

See what I mean?

I have to say, I actually fall on both sides here. I kind of love how insane it is, but I also hate it with my whole chest. I recognize its genius, but I hate it.

It was also a lot of this.

Nascar, grass car. Grasscar. There were entire threads that repeated those phrases over and over, which I found extremely funny — but that's probably because my sense of humor is broken.

Some people even had ideas for adding to the garden feeling in the car.

Well, I guess Charles is going to have to go out and buy some tiny plastic mushrooms. I say plastic with a good deal of hope, because I am terrified he's going to try and buy real ones.

Others understood that an astroturf car might be a genius idea.

Like, okay. I actually grant this premise. Why? Because I am lazy, and I hate cleaning my car out SO much. If I could just yank something out, shake it, and pop it back in, I'd be thrilled.

And still others spoke for me.

But then there's this. The whole goal is to keep the outside on the outside of the car, you know? And yet TikTok chose to just not do that.

Oh, and if you thought this was a one-time idea...

This is a BIG thing on TikTok. People have been buying astroturf in bulk and tricking out their cars with grass for at least a year.

I love the internet.
