Bindi Irwin Says Raising Her Daughter Without Steve Irwin Is 'Devastating'

Every girl wants her father around to celebrate life's important milestones. This includes seeing her walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams and watching her raise her own children.

Tragically, Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, missed out on both.

She recently opened up about the emotional impact of this, calling it "devastating."

This is Bindi Irwin.

She, along with her brother Robert, are the children of the late Steve Irwin, aka the Crocodile Hunter. Steve's late wife, Terri, is their mother.

Irwin tragically passed away in 2006 after he was pierced in the heart by a stingray.

Since Steve passed away when his kids were young, they've missed out on having a father there during life's important milestones.

This includes Bindi's wedding to her husband, Chandler Powell, and now, being a grandfather to the couple's first child, Grace.

Bindi opened up about this in her and Chandler's parenting special for Discovery+ called *Crikey! It's a Baby*.

"It's hard knowing that she'll never get to actually meet him, and it's devastating because I'll never get to watch that connection," she emotionally shared.

"But I cannot wait to be able to tell beautiful Grace all of these stories about dad, to be able to share with her what an amazing father he was," she continued.

"But I think in a way he is still with us and his heart and soul live on in all of us. He's never really gone."

So touching and well said.
