Seth Rogen Says Having Children 'Does Not Sound Fun' To Him: 'I Don't Want That'

While being a parent is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things many people can ever do, it's no secret it's not for everyone.

This past week, Seth Rogen sat down with The Howard Stern Show to discuss why he and his wife Lauren Miller have zero interest in having children.

Having children is a very personal decision, but ultimately one that everyone thinks about throughout their life.

Do I want one? Do I not? We all have those thoughts.

Including the most famous celebrities in the world! See? They ARE just like us.

Enter, Seth Rogen.

Seth Rogen is best known for his work in comedy films like "Knocked Up" and "Superbad."

He's now becoming best known for his honest and candid takes about why he and his wife have decided to not have children.

While chatting with Howard Stern, the 39-year-old explained parenthood does not sound like fun to him.

"I wouldn't be able to do all this work that I like," he explained.

"... People are always like — it's something I think I was uncomfortable answering this before — but they were like, 'How do you do so much?' The answer is I don't have kids. ... I have nothing else to do."

As for his wife, Seth claims she wants children even *less* than he does!

"I would say she wants kids less than I do. I could probably be talked into it; she's like no."

He went on to say he and his wife "have so much fun."

"I don't know anyone who gets as much happiness out of their kids as we get out of our non-kids," Seth laughed.

"Like, we're [expletive] psyched all the time! We're laying in bed on Saturday mornings smoking weed, watching movies naked. If we had kids, we could not be [expletive] doing this."

Howard replied: "You can't be narcissistic, you have to give yourself over to parenting, and they've gotta become the priority."

"Yeah, like, I don't want that. That does not sound fun to me," Seth replied. "And why? There's enough kids out there. We need more people?"

He continued by saying:

"Who looks at the planet right now and thinks 'You know what we need right now? More [expletive] people.' That's truly a confounding thing to me."

Which honestly, the man is making some points.

This isn't the first time that Rogen spoke out about not wanting to have children.

Back in 2018 on the Armchair Expert, he said that he and his wife were definitely talking about it, but he definitely wasn't in the space to have them, even then.

"We've gone from people who just haven't had kids to people who don't have kids," he said during the podcast.

"It honestly makes it more fun in some ways because it's like, 'Man, no one we know is doing this [expletive]. We can just do whatever we want!' Not that we even do that much."

"A lot of people [try to convince us to have kids] because they seem to like their kids,"

He went on to say that, while he can acknowledge people get "joy" from it, he doesn't think he would.

"I'm pretty at peace," he said.

Which is totally fair!

What do you think about his statement?

Do you agree or disagree with him? Or, do you simply think it doesn't matter and everyone should just do what they want?
