'Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller Slams American Airlines After Falling Out Of Wheelchair

American Airlines is in some seriously hot water right now.

While flying through the Pittsburgh International Airport, Abby experienced an incident that left her on the floor of the airport — and according to her, American Airlines did not handle it well.

Abby rose to fame on "Dance Moms."

In fact, she kind of is the dance mom.

Dance Moms follows the children and students of Abby under her studio, Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC).

Believe it for not, the show has been around since 2011.

Abby mentors the girls.

The show follows ALDC's Junior Elite Competition Team — aka, girls aged 12-16 who want to become professional dancers.

Abby's role is to train them, think up the routines, and then choreograph them.

Naturally, the moms' roles are to be as outrageous as possible.

The show has inspired 3 spin-offs.

Yup, three.

Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition, Dance Moms: Miami, and Dance Moms: Abby's Studio Rescue were all eventually canceled.

Listen, sometimes the original is the best one. Just look at CSI.

Abby then ran into some real trouble.

She had to quit Dance Moms in 2017.

Why? Because she broke a bunch of laws after Dance Moms started.

The first charge happened in 2015, when she was indicted for fraud.

It was alleged that she had a secret bank account.

According to reports, she hid income from masterclasses, TV deals, and merchandise sales in a secret bank account.

Her indictment claimed that she hid more than $750,000 from the government.

The charges from that didn't go through, though.

Because another crime surfaced.

Different charges came in shortly afterward.

These ones stuck. She was charged with customs fraud after failing to declare income from a Dance Moms Australian master class tour.

She was sentenced to a year in prison, and quit Dance Moms.

Which brings us to her health issues.

After serving 8 months in prison, Abby was released to a halfway house.

It was there that she was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer. It was located on her spine.

She's been in treatment ever since.

The location of the lymphoma on her spine led to a number of surgeries there.

She spent all of 2018 relearning how to walk while doing physical therapy. She's a fighter.

She also rejoined Dance Moms.

She recently had an incident with American Airlines while traveling.

Abby employs the use of a wheelchair, due to the numerous issues she's had with her spine.

While at the Pittsburgh International Airport, mistreatment of how she should be transferred to her wheelchair spurred her to make an Instagram post.

She had no problem calling them out.

Know Your Meme

Quoting an iconic infomercial (and meme), Abby went in on American Airlines:

"Help! “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” isn’t that the truth? Let’s just say my transfer from the Isle Chair to my own chair didn’t go so well!"

The transfer did not happen as it was supposed to.

Instagram | @therealabbylee

"The move should’ve happened on the bridge like usual and not in front of a hundred ppl waiting to board [...]"

She noted that privacy would have helped the situation since the bridge to the plane is not nearly as crowded as the gate after landing.

And she had to do a lot of the work herself.

Unbelievably, she noted something distressing:

"[...] I shouldn’t have had to ask for someone to call the paramedics and maybe the @americanair Gate Mgr should’ve at the very least asked if I was ok?"

No one asked her if she was alright? What?

She did have kind words for the airport, however.

Instagram | @therealabbylee

"Thank you to all the Pgh international Airport Escorts that were so very kind [...]"

Given that Pittsburgh is her home town, it's no wonder that she was appreciative of their thoughtfulness.

She had one more set of people to thank...

Instagram | @therealabbylee

"[...] & the hot firemen who swiftly got me on my feet, into my chair & on my way!!!"

Now that's a woman who knows how to see the humor in any situation, huh?

American Airlines has apologized for the incident.

They're investigating what happened, according to their statement.

"We have been in touch with Ms. Miller to apologize and are providing her a full refund as a result of her experience."
