Jessa Duggar Reveals She Gave Birth To Her Daughter On The Family's Couch

Every mom knows that there's no way to tell what will happen when you're about to give birth. You can go into labor early... or be nine days overdue. Honestly, it's completely up to the baby!

Counting On star Jessa Duggar found this out for herself during the birth of her third baby. Now she's sharing the dramatic birth story with fans for the first time.

Jessa Duggar's third pregnancy was full of surprises.

When she posted this update at 31 weeks, she said she was measuring smaller than her first pregnancy, but bigger than her second. It was hard to say whether Jessa and her husband, Ben, were going to welcome another boy or their first girl.

When she shared this update at 38 weeks, her Instagram followers thought she was going to give birth any day.

It turns out — they were right! Jessa did go into labor a few days after sharing this pic and nearly two weeks before her expected due date.

It all worked out, because it meant that Jessa and Ben got to meet their little girl sooner than expected.

Meet Ivy Jane Seewald! She arrived on May 26, 2019 and it looks like the entire family is over the moon. Congrats to the Seewald family.

As with her last pregnancies, Jessa labored and gave birth to Ivy at home.

Now, Jessa and Ben have told Ivy's full birth story in a new interview with TLC.

We already know that Jessa was completely surprised to go into labor so early. She was overdue when she went into labor with her two boys.

The couple also revealed that Jessa ended up giving birth on the family's couch with the help of their midwives.
