Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos' Daughter Walked In On Them In The Bedroom And We're Cringing

For the day, at least.

Mark Consuelos joined his wife, Kelly Ripa, to fill in for Ryan Seacrest on Live With Kelly and Ryan.

The power couple took over the show for the day and redefined the word "embarrassment" for poor Lola.

They were discussing Lola, their middle child.

"Well, but we started her day off pretty bad yesterday."

You can so clearly see that Kelly was fighting to keep a laugh in. She had to have been wondering if he was really bringing that story up.

Kelly: "I mean, it was the worst—"

Mark: "It happened again. It happened again."

Me: The word "again" is very concerning here, Mark. Have y'all considered investing in a lock for your bedroom door?

Mark started, "She knocked — well, we thought she knocked on our door —"

And then Kelly immediately interrupted him.

"What do you mean you thought she knocked on our door?"

So, we're about to witness two famous people have a full-on argument on live TV.

The number of times she interrupted herself out of sheer shock. It went something like:

"How do you — did you hear a knock — wait, are you telling me now that you heard a knock?"

Mark. My dude. You are treading on very thin ice.

"No, no, no. I'm just, I'm saying that she knocked on our door — bedroom door."

It was right about then that the audience understood what they were talking about, and why Kelly was so indignant.

She leaned forward and said, "Time out! No, she didn't!"

Okay, so she did not knock. Got it. Mark said he heard it, then that she just knocked, and Kelly said she didn't at all.

These two are confusing.

"Well, she opened the door, is what happened. She opened the door. And it was late morning, and it was Father's Day."

She very boldly stated that not only was she not in the mood that morning, but that she had a house full of people.

He objected at first, but then said:

"I could tell, you were just going through the motions."

They shared that on TV.

And Mark and Kelly immediately freaked out.

Amid screaming and general calls to close the door, Kelly came up with an excuse:

"I'm being resuscitated!"

I feel like that would raise more questions, not less.

"And she goes, 'Thanks a lot, it's my birthday!'"

Kelly continued, "She shuts the door, and you hear, 'You just ruined my birthday! And my life! And I used to see in color, and now everything is grey!'"

They said that was verbatim, which makes me want to be best friends with someone that creative immediately.

Lola went in on them immediately, right in front of their entire family—including Mark's father.

"[...] and she's like this, she goes, 'You're disgusting.'"

Mark continued, "And she goes, 'You guys have no chill. You act like you're 20, but you're not.'"

"And I'm still trying to talk in code, because my father-in-law is at the table, and I go,

'With respect, we weren't in the kitchen. We weren't in the hallway or your room.'"

Okay, she had a point there.

Mark said that he wasn't sure she saw anything, but Kelly quickly pointed out:

"I made eye contact with her. I was like..."

And then she made the face in the screencap, which I think speaks for itself.

Apparently, no one knocks in their house, and that means that every single one of them has had the same problem.

Lola insisted she did, though. "And Lola's like, 'I knocked. You can't hear me, because you're deaf from exercise class!' Which may or may not be true."
