Fans Are Dragging Khloé For Editing Pictures Of True

When you're a Kardashian, it's expected that you live pretty much your entire life out in the open. When you're a Kardashian with a baby, that means we want that baby front and center on your social.

Khloé hasn't been shy in showing off her baby, True, but in doing so, she might have once again committed a bit of a weird parenting faux pas.

Being successful on Insta means that you need to know your way around a good filter.

After all, if we wanted to see what the real world looked like, we'd just look out a window or something.

Khloé knows that the right filter and editing can make the difference between a few hundred thousand likes and the 5 million she sometimes pulls.

It's safe to say that the Kardashians and Jenners know a thing or two about being successful on Instagram.

Between Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie, there's a combined total of 509.7 MILLION Instagram followers.

Wowza.

Instagram, apparently, loves Khloé as a mom.

Having True in a picture is pretty much a guarantee of a literal million likes.

And really, how can you not love the combination of a cute baby and a proud momma?

Considering all the drama leading up to True's birth, it's nice to be reminded that there's a beautiful baby to come out of all of that turmoil.

There was the whole cheating scandal that took the internet by storm.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

True was born shortly after we learned that her dad, Tristan Thompson, had cheated on Khloé, but that's certainly not True's fault.

We were actually able to watch it all unfold on the latest "KUWTK" episode.

And even though it happened months ago, it was still super sad and dramatic.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

A recent Khloé post had fans wondering about her choice to put such heavy filters on pictures of her daughter.

We can definitely understand the benefit of putting a soft filter on a selfie, but this is SOFT.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

And there are a lot of fans on Instagram who have some questions.

Most of the comments have been positive and supportive, but some people couldn't help but question the editing choices.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

It's well within people's right to filter their photos however they want and to control their image online.

In some cases, the criticisms might have been intended as lowkey compliments.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

That being said, this is basically the Instagram-equivalent of a guy telling you, "You're so beautiful, you don't even NEED makeup."

And to that, I roll my eyes.

Clearly people have been paying attention and are chiming in about Khloé's recent edits.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

Or maybe it's more of a criticism about filter culture in general?

Okay, so maybe the criticisms are actually meant to be taken as positives.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

And, after all, Khloé's in the pic herself. So why jump down her throat for choosing to put a filter on it?

But what about when it's JUST True in the picture?

Instagram | @khloekardashian

Does it change the narrative when you're just straight-up putting a filter on a child?

Some people didn't hold back at ALL in their opinions about Khloé's photo editing, and what they think it means about her as a parent.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

While there may be a reasonable discussion to be had about editing baby pictures like this, accusing someone of being a bad mother because of it is NOT the way to go about it.

It seems any time that Khloé posts a picture of True, someone's got to get their opinion in.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

In some pretty ugly cases, people seemed like they were accusing Khloé of using editing to whitewash her own child.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

Regrettably, True's color is something that Khloé has actually had to defend before.

Being mommy-shamed is something that Khloé is pretty used to by now, we can imagine.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

There was the time when Khloé shared a picture of True in a toy Bentley car, and a fan came for her.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

Things got heated.

Khloé has never been the type to just sit back and take the criticism, either.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

And that's why she's known as the most "honest"* Kardashian.

*source: myself, when I rank them by sassiest to least sassy in my head for fun.

There was also the time a fan asked who was watching True while Khloé was out playing poker.

Because moms aren't allowed time to themselves, right?

Thankfully, there were a lot of people who had her back.

Anyway, like we said, people just don't know how to mind their own business and stop mommy-shaming Khloé.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

It's hard to imagine exactly what people would want, or if this is just an exercise in it being impossible to make everyone happy.

Thankfully, yet again, most of fans see what Khloé is really trying to show — her love for her daughter.

Instagram | @khloekardashian, Instagram

Khloé seems to have found new meaning in her life with True, and she's been through some personal hell to get there.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

It's doubtful a few negative comments on Instagram will get her down.

At the end of the day, Khloé is a mom living in the spotlight.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

Having a social media presence is bound to bring some haters, no matter what.

Imagine if she never posted pictures of True.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

Or — heaven forbid — if she ever made a post where True didn't look like an angel?

True and her so-called Kousins are growing up as some of the most famous kids on the planet, and honestly, no one really knows the "right" way for that to go.

Instagram | @khloekardashian

Here's a thought:

Maybe instead of dragging a mom on Instagram for sharing some happy moments with her child, we should just leave well enough alone — or hey, even just scroll on by without dropping our unsolicited opinions.

We'll finish off with Khloé's own words about True as a reminder to try and stay positive:

Instagram | @khloekardashian

"I probably dreamt about you my entire adult life," she wrote on Instagram. "You have exceeded every expectation I had of you! This is LOVE."

Keep the proud mom vibes coming, Khloé!
