Whoever you are, whatever you’re doing, you should be able to appreciate a good idea . Whether it’s an intriguing design or something that simply makes life easier , a good idea is a blessing.
If you’re running a bit short on good ideas of your own and need some inspiration, you just might find it here. In any event, we’re pulling for you.
“Rain vortex.”

It’s hard to get a handle on this building from the photo. With the lush greenery and elevated tram, it looks like something out of the Jurassic Park universe . Either way, that waterfall being used as the centerpiece is a jaw-dropping thing to see. To see it in real life, you’ll need to pay a visit to Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport.
“These urinals where you can look out to the street. Windows aren’t tinted at all so you can also see in. Even has a sink on top of each one.”

At first, I wasn’t sold on this idea because people on the outside can look in. But when you think about it, the construction here blocks any embarrassing views. Also, if a pedestrian looks in, they’re the one being creepy.
“Corner desk.”

This looks like one of those pieces of furniture that inexplicably costs, like, $8,000. Putting that aside, though, it’s an incredible design for a corner desk. I love how the ‘folded up’ corners don’t just aid the corner design, they also provide shelves.
“Eraser slowly goes bald.”

This might hit a little too close to home for some men, myself definitely included. Still, it’s hard not to appreciate such a cute design. The dark side of this design is that the hair disappears first, but eventually the entire head is rubbed off as well.
“An advertisement using pedestrians as ticks on a dog.”

I’m not sure whether to be impressed or grossed out by the imagery here. Considering the fact that we’re constantly inundated with advertising, it’s nice to see some ads that get creative in their design .
“Some pencils I tried carving.”

I will never not be impressed by a good pencil carving. There’s something about the intricacy required, and the fact that people manage to do it without snapping the fragile pencil, that just feels impossible to me.
“A button for crossing the road on a horse.”

Neo-westerns like Yellowstone are all the rage these days. While they show a (slightly dramatized) slice of life for modern cowboys, they don’t show the more mundane stuff. I’m just assuming that every crosswalk within a mile of the Duttons’ ranch has one of these buttons.
“The bar I went to has lockable charging docks for your phone. (Sorry for bad pic quality).”

Plenty of places have power outlets where you can charge your phone. But that means standing by while your phone slowly charges, because you don’t want to leave things unattended. This is a perfect solution to the monotony.
“My new bottle of dish soap states the purpose of each ingredient.”

I think everyone, at one time or another, has studied the back of a bottle of soap and wondered what exactly dihydroglate monophenylide does. Well, this bottle of dish soap has you covered. It’s kind of reassuring.
“RFID Tag on Disney World fountain drink cups to limit refills. Soda Dispenser reads the tag upon refill.”

There are brilliant ideas for consumers and there are brilliant ideas for corporations. This would fall squarely into the latter category. It means fewer free refills for the masses, but it’s still a clever idea.
“There are places in Canada that have bridges for animals to cross over busy roads.”

It isn’t just Canada that has these wildlife bridges. Plenty of places throughout the United States and Europe have them as well. Nature photographers could probably snap all sorts of great pics if they camped out nearby.
“In Poland you can buy vodka in yogurt cups.”

I’m not here to judge anyone, I’m here to acknowledge the simple fact that sometimes, people are going to want a single serving of vodka. Maybe it’s to mix into a drink. Maybe it’s just to take the edge off. Either way, these cups are a cool idea.
“Hitler’s ‘Eagle Nest’ retreat is now a cafe / restaurant.”

Hitler didn’t want anyone using his stuff after he died. That’s why he blew up his train and his bunker. This retreat didn’t get blown up, so I can think of no better way to give him and his regime the middle finger than by repurposing it as a place where everyone is welcome.
“The kids’ menu at this restaurant I stopped in.”

The items on this kids’ menu are pretty standard fare, but the language is hilarious. It provides parents with a way to mock their children while simultaneously placing an order for them.
“Stray cat hostel on the coast of Bernardin, Slovenia.”

There are always going to be places where stray cats congregate. Those who aren’t cat people might not care, but for those who do love kitties, it’s good to see stuff like this.
“This camper van trying to make traffic safe.”

At first I thought this was a friendly message about slowing down, and it is. But it’s also a custom green light that the owner of the camper had installed on the back.
“The way my BF organized the cord to the lamp.”

Wireless power delivery might be a thing for smart devices, but when it comes to stuff like lamps, we’re still stuck using cords. It almost doesn’t matter, though, when cord management is on point to this extent.
“My high school mailed my diploma with a voter registration form.”

Voter turnout is worryingly low for virtually any election nowadays, which means that a small percentage of people are deciding who gets into office. Here’s a way to make voting easier.
“This church in Wawa, Ontario, Canada has solar panels in the shape of the cross.”

Solar panels have to be laid down in some sort of pattern, and if that pattern can match the iconography of your particular religion, you almost have to do it.
“An ice cream boat that stops by the docks of people who live on the lake.”

This idea is one of the best I’ve seen. Imagine hanging out on a dock and having the ice cream boat roll up. I just hope it plays those classic ice cream truck jingles.
