People Are Turning That 12-Foot Home Depot Skeleton Into Scary And Merry Decor

Good news, guys: the Home Depot skeleton is back and better than ever.

The surprise social media hit of Halloween 2020, the Home Depot skeleton sold out through all of North America within days. Now, people are finding new uses for their skeletons.

And thank goodness, because I do not know how you're supposed to store a 12-foot skeleton.

Let us recall Halloween 2020.

The Home Depot skeleton was the meme that kept on giving back in September and October.

That giant thing set people back about $200, so of course, they were going to find a way to keep using it.

Meet the Christmas version of the Home Depot Skeleton.

All the bones, all the height, but just a fraction of the scary. This skeleton has been reformed, guys. It's a festive guy now. The scaring days are behind it.

Some people have actually dressed theirs up.

You know, you'd never guess it, but you actually can't just go out and buy a Santa jacket for a 12-foot skeleton! I know, I'm shocked. These people went ahead and sewed their own. We love a crafty moment.

Others have gone with more of a Christmas nightmare thing.

A Nightmare Before Christmas, if you will.

This display combines some of my favorite things: tropical plants, Halloween decor, and oversized, novelty purchases. It doesn't get better than this, people.

Unbelievably, some people are actually actively seeking out the skeleton to buy for Christmas.

As in, they want it for their Christmas decor, they're not just reusing it. I both fear and respect those people, for they have a vision that I will never be able to match.

They've even been hitting up Home Depot's customer service to get their hands on one.

That poor employee probably spends minutes upon minutes a day answering questions about that skeleton. Minutes, people!

This casual Santa skeleton moment is perfect for Christmas morning.

He's casual, he's cool, he's just out taking Rudolph for a walk without a shirt. He's a catalogue model, guys. The man knows his angles.

Some people even went all out and made a little skeleton family scene.

Okay, this is actually heartwarming. But do skeletons hang up stockings? Do they drink egg nog? I kind of need to know exactly how they celebrate the festive season.

The internet loves them.

People are snapping pictures of Home Depot Christmas skeletons out in the wild. I'm absolutely dying to find one, I'd tweet it out so fast. It'd be like seeing a celebrity.

And then there are these pop culture classics.

Jack Skellington and The Abominable Snowman (or Bumble) were kind of a given, but I don't know about that Grinch. He is terrifying!

Have a very Merry Christmas...

And try not to pee your pants if you happen to see this while out on a Christmas stroll.

Would you use a skeleton as Christmas decor?
