Fans Are Dragging Prince William And Kate For Posting Birthday Tribute To Meghan Markle

Breaking news, everyone! Petty social media trolls are at it again! This time, it's to slam Kate Middleton and Prince William for giving their sister-in-law Meghan Markle a birthday shoutout. I know, right? You would think they actually did something bad the way people are dragging them.

Ah, just another day in the life of a royal family troll, amirite?!

In case you guys didn't know, there is a lot of ~rumored~ drama between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.

Fans have been speculating about this drama for years now, but a new "tell-all" book has exposed a lot of alleged family secrets and dramz.

The book was obviously not written by anyone officially involved with the family, but by royal correspondents Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.

Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family tells fans a lot about their fav royals.

The most shocking allegation? That Meghan and Kate weren't even that close!

"The truth was Meghan and Kate just didn’t know each other that well … Though it was not necessarily her responsibility, Kate did little to bridge the divide,” Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand explain in the book.

They added that while the ladies "were not at war with each other," there definitely were some "awkward moments" between Kate and Meghan.

Finding Freedom alleges that Meghan was let down by Kate's behavior: "At the outset of her romance with Harry, Meghan had fully expected Kate to reach out and give her the lie of the land on everything an outsider to the Firm needed to know."

"But that was not how things turned out."

The book also claims Meghan’s relationship with Kate “hadn’t progressed much since she was Harry’s girlfriend.”

Express U.K. published an excerpt that reads: "Although Meghan might have understood Kate’s wariness to strike up a meaningful friendship, they were still no closer by the time she was a fellow senior working member of the royal family and the wife of William’s brother."

The excerpt concluded, "Meghan was disappointed that she and Kate hadn’t bonded over the position they shared, but she wasn’t losing sleep over it."

I KNOW, RIGHT?! I hate when my fav family is fighting!

Or are they??? DUN DUN DUNNN!

Of course, the royal family has denied any truth to these ongoing rumors, and are clearly trying to bring peace by wishing Meghan Markle a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

In an effort to show solidarity between the family, Kate and William's social media handle @KensingtonRoyal wished Meghan a happy birthday!

Posting a picture of the Duchess looking beautiful, the caption read: "Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!"

Now what on EARTH could people get petty about in regards to this lovely post?!

Let's take a deep dive, shall we?

The comments were FILLED with snarky remarks from bitter fans!

"You are too generous with her!" wrote one fan.

"You don’t need to pretend to care about her anymore. Just saying," wrote another.

Twitter was even worse!

"She is not my Duchess, disloyal to the British People and to the Crown," tweeted one angry user.

Another echoed their angry sentiments: "Hahaha very noble of you William & Kate. It’s all for social media, sadly. The British public don’t care for Megan. It’s a shame for Harry as he wants to be his own man but also wants the privilege of being a Royal. We all know how this ends...."

Thankfully, not everyone was hateful: "Thanks to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for continuously trying to keep the family together. Your olive branches are clear to see and people respect you for doing so, despite what some newspapers may say."
