It's wild to think that Charlize Theron, goddess of the action film, is afraid of anything! She truly eats fear for breakfast, and it must do wonders on her skin because our gorl is AGELESS.

Well apparently, Charlize has had a fear of horses since she had a traumatic accident falling off one when she was 12.

Totally understandable!

In anticipation for her latest film, Charlize truly ~ got back on the horse ~ so to speak, and overcame her nearly 3 decade long fear of riding horses!

That film, The Old Guard, is steaming on Netflix now!

She sat down for a new interview with Entertainment Weekly and explained her decision.

"For some reason on this film, I decided to finally address that fear," she told the publication.

"It was the thing I definitely gave the most time to, even though there was very little of it in the movie. I'm really grateful that I got to have that experience because it was a good one for me to get over."

She continued: "I love horses. I want my children to be around horses. But I always had this fear when I was on them that something could go terribly wrong at any instant. So it was like a metaphor for my life in a weird way, this movie."

"It was therapeutic for me," she concluded.
