Kristen Bell Shares Daughter's Impressive 'First Essay' During Homeschool

Kids say the darndest things!

ICYMI, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are the coolest, funniest celeb parents of all time. The pair share two daughters, Lincoln, seven, and Delta, five, and since coronavirus has everyone stuck inside, they've been homeschooling their daughters.

Kristen recently shared a hilarious photo of one of her daughters' homeschool projects and it's the greatest thing I've seen all week!

This probably goes without saying, because at this point it should be common knowledge. But Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are the ultimate couple and parenting goals.

And their transparency on social media makes them as likable as they are relatable: very.

But above all else, when it comes to parenting, they always keep it real with their fans.

In case you didn't already know, Dax and Kristen have two daughters, Lincoln, seven, and Delta, five, and they've never been shy about sharing tidbits of parenting advice every now and then as they figure things out.

While they've managed to protect their daughters' anonymity by not posting their faces on social media, they have still been candid in sharing relatable parenting moments with their fans.

Like the time Dax and Kristen revealed on The Ellen Show that their eldest daughter, Lincoln, asked the question that all parents dread:

"Where do babies come from?"

Instead of sugar coating it, Kristen and Dax broached the sex talk by explaining it scientifically and using plain language.

"We went through the anatomy: penis, vagina, ovum, sperm. We're laying it all out," Dax said.

They certainly curbed their daughter's curiosity, because she was so bored that she up and left the room mid-conversation.

I am so jealous that children get to do that and get away with it!

"We bored her to death," said Kristen. But hey, at least they were honest.

Kristen once confessed that she and Dax lock their five-year-old in her bedroom when it's time for bed, and let her fall asleep on her own.

"I'm sorry, I know that's controversial, but we lock it when she gets in there, and we stand outside and say, 'We love you, we will talk to you in the morning, but now, it's time for sleep,'" Kristen said.

"And after about 10 minutes, she'll wind herself down. And then, before we go to bed, obviously, we unlock it."

Back in December, Kristen revealed that she and Dax have needed to have a discussion with one of their daughters about the use of swear words.

In the past, they've mentioned that they don't exactly censor themselves at home. "We don't limit ourselves as much as we should at home," Kristen said.

"The way we explain it is, 'Look, you're 5 years old. You can't drive my car. You can't vote. You can't drink alcohol. You can't swear.' So far, they've obliged."

Evidently, the success rate of that strategy has began to be less effective.

Kristen shared a video to her Instagram story, holding back her laughter as Dax discusses swearing with one of their daughters.

She begins by telling Dax that a boy from school uses the F-word.

"He says this is '[expletive],'" she says. "He says that every time in school."

I don't know about you, but I would have been yelled at for years if I had done that when I was a kid.

"The teacher says that's a bad word," she said. "Yeah, that's not a nice word," Dax replied. "You know, that that's a naughty finger and I never see you do that."

"You guys didn't tell me '[expletive]' was a bad word when I was little," she continued.

"It makes me so proud that you know that, yet you don't do it. Well you did it a couple of times when you were young, before you knew it was a naughty word," Dax added.

"I have been waiting for this conversation since the day I got pregnant," Kristen, visibly struggling not to burst out laughing, wrote on her story.

"You're right, we just ignored it," Dax said. "We hoped that you didn't say it a lot, which seemed to work."

Anyway, amid quarantine, Kristen opened up on Instagram about what it has been like to homeschool Delta and Lincoln.

"Trying to get my 1st grader to write her first opinion essay, and was quite impressed with the topic she chose as she presented her grid with opinion and evidence," she wrote alongside this photo.

"Touche my young lass. Touche. (The bottom says "Stern Voice")".

Can we just take in that her daughter wrote "doesn't believe in me". That cuts deep.

Kids really know how to pull at the heartstrings!
