Cash App Founder Bob Lee Dies Suddenly, Age 43

The San Francisco Police Department responded to a stabbing report at 2:35 am on Tuesday on Main Street. The victim, Bob Lee, was found unconscious with two stab wounds on his chest.

The grieving father and brother of the tech company founder penned down their pain through Facebook posts.

Rick Lee, the father of Bob Lee, posted a heart-touching message on Facebook about how he had lost his friend and reminisced about the fun and adventurous time he spent with his sons on the streets of San Francisco.

Tim Oliver Lee, Bob Lee's brother, stated he lost a part of himself when he lost his brother. He also mentioned how fortunate he was to grow up with a brother like him; he was the best among them.

A woman was spotted leaving flowers near a tree outside the building where this incident happened. Many tweeted and posted messages after the incident on their profiles.

In the wake of the incident, Joshua Goldbard, the founder of Mobilecoin, tweeted, "My heart is broken tonight." In another statement, he also stated, our beloved friend and coworker passed away in a brutal incident yesterday at 43 and will be missed by his loving family, close friends, and colleagues.

Garry Tan, CEO of Y Combinator, tweeted a heartfelt note after the demise of tech executive Bob Lee.

Joel Engardio, the City supervisor, appealed to the public to feel safe and ensure that attackers would be held soon.

A true friend shattered after Bob Lee's murder said he was a father and a decent human being.

The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, chimed in on a tweet by Jake Shields and outpoured his grief and anger for increasing violent crimes in the city.

He was found on 300 Block of Main Street with life-threatening stab wounds on his chest. The Police Department does not reveal the exact information about the injuries.

Mr. Lee's stabbing incident has scared people and raised concerns about security in California City.

Josh Goldbard, the CEO of Lee's current company, MobileCoin, verified Lee's demise. In 2021, Lee became the chief product officer of MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency and digital payments company.

London Breed, San Francisco Mayor, said in a statement that public safety is the city's top priority and district attorney will take necessary measures to arrest the culprits.

He was alive when police arrived at the incident location near Rincon Hill and the Bay Bridge neighborhood but he later died at a hospital.

After Bob Lee's passing, the police department in the Californian city has come under fire. Tech founders and executives are questioning public safety in the city and why no arrests have been made till now.
