The rate of family annihilators in America keeps rising daily, leading people to wonder what's going wrong. Police responding to a disturbing 911 call in Harvey, Louisiana found an entire family of four dead.

The 43-year-old man, Tim Ragas, called 911 dispatch, saying they'll find four bodies when they reached his house because he couldn't live like that anymore.

Speaking to the neighbors, the reporters from WWLTV learned that the murder-suicide was the wildest thing ever in their neighborhood.

First Responders On Scene

The Jefferson Parish sheriff officers visited the home on 11th Curtis immediately after they heard the threatening call but didn't think the caller would fulfill his threat.

Upon getting there, they found the entire family comprised of a father, mother, and two sons dead. Ragas had shot his wife, Joanna (45), Eric Thorne Bloom (20), and Timothy (13).

Caring For Their Special Needs Son

Further information revealed that Eric Thorne Bloom wasn't the couple's son, but Joanna's from another relationship while their other son, Timothy was special needs.

A Possible Second Shooter

The authorities are still trying to make sense of the situation and have developed several theories. Despite the father claiming responsibility for the killings, the sheriff's office hasn't ruled out the possibility of a second or third shooter.

Was It Planned?

They also believe the murder-suicide could've been a plan between the parents because of Tim's statement saying,

"We can't live like this anymore."

Police And Neighbors Theorize About The Trigger

The police guess Tim's statement referenced his special needs son as it's tasking to raise a child with such a medical condition. However, they don't want their opinions to color the coroner's findings, so there's no official determination yet except that the family died of gunshot wounds.

What Went Wrong?

Tim's alleged actions interest everyone as they wonder what triggered the middle-aged man to kill his family. Inquiry into his employment proved futile, although the local news reported that the man worked with law enforcement years ago.

The Family's Final Days

Their relatives spoke to WWLTV, saying the family's demeanor in the past days raised red flags. Tim's sister said they had financial problems because he was unemployed for three years and became depressed.

Losing His Job

Although Tim got a job recently, per his sister, he lost it when the employer learned that he had an autistic son. He'd taken several office breaks to take the child to the hospital, which interfered with his work.

Financial Help Wasn't Enough

Another sibling told the local news that the extended family pitched in financially but didn't realize how bad the depression and financial struggles were until they heard the heartbreaking news.

Fundraiser For The Funeral

The sisters created a GoFundMe link for the funeral plans as they expressed frustration and fear for the future.

The Story Is Still Developing

Meg Farris of Eyewitness News reported that the JP Sheriff's office planned an autopsy for last week, but there's no public report yet. It's still a developing story.
