David and Yolanda first appeared in Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They were married for four years before finally divorcing in 2017.
"It's a hell of a burden to carry around, to be Elvis' daughter, and I think she wore it really well," Foster said.
Although he was quick to point out that people shouldn't judge too harshly, as nobody really knows what it must have been like to have to walk in Lisa Marie's shoes.
"I clearly remember the day we were in the studio together doing a duet with her father, Don't Cry Daddy, which was kind of profound in its own way," Foster said.
The Grammy-winning songwriter talked about how he respected Lisa Marie as an artist, and that he thought her songs and unique style were undeniably cool.
Her own father, "The King of Rock 'n Roll," Elvis Presley, passed away from cardiac arrest when he was just 42 years old.
The family has asked for privacy and is taking solace in knowing that Lisa Marie's spirit is now at peace, along with her father and son, Benjamin.
