Taylor Swift is one of the most-relatable superstars in America, so it's little wonder she has such a massive fanbase. Apart from her music lyrics discussing everyday life and issues, the multi-award-winning artist's interviews are equally validating.

In 2019, she revealed to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that she underwent Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) eye surgery. The heartfelt moment became hilarious when Fallon showed Swift a video obtained from her mother of the star's post-surgery moment.

Post-Surgery Mood

Fallon started by asking the pop/country star about the procedure and if she got any "hardcore pills" for the pain or laughing gas. Then he revealed she got a video from Swift's mom moments after the star's LASIK eye surgery.

In the video, Swift wore a pair of protective goggles taped to her head, so she looked goofy. The situation became funnier when the star reached for a banana but didn't get what she wanted.

She got angry over the situation until her mother helped her find a suitable fruit.

LASIK eye surgery is an intense, invasive procedure for fixing defective eyesight without using contact lenses, glasses, or both. It requires a surgeon to use a laser to alter the cornea into a better position for clear sight.

Swift and Fallon's conversation moved toward her musical movie Cats with James Corden, Rebel Wilson, and more stars. She spoke a little about blending her music and acting career because she's very good at the former, so there's pressure to knock the latter out of the park.

Starring In Amsterdam

Swift is a castmate in Amsterdam alongside Margot Robbie, John David Washington, and Christian Bale. The movie was a box office bomb despite being packed with big movie names and coming out with heavy promotion.

She played Elizabeth Meekins, the daughter of a dead senator who served in the army during World War I. Swift's role was pivotal to the plot but lasted only a few scenes, like many other performances.

It would be a long time before we see her in the leading character role because that requires time and long-term commitment during production.

Back On Tour

As for Swift's music career, she recently broke multiple records with her latest studio album Midnights. The genre-shifting musician proved that fans could be as powerful as music machines when she re-recorded all her albums. Now, she's going on a world tour starting with America to sing those songs.
