Let me ask you ladies, how often do you send your husband out grocery shopping? For us, it's about once a week. That's right. And do you give your hubby a list too? Check!

Sometimes, though, I end up just texting the stuff to my husband, but that's not what this one wife did. She gave him a handwritten note instead. However, the silly hubby read it wrong and went on an epic shopping haul. I promise you, this one is going to make you laugh out loud. Check it out.

TikToker @HZDesignshop recently posted about his major grocery shopping gaffe.

You see, his wife wrote him a list of only seven items. However, he must've read it in haste because instead, he got way too many items, and now he's sharing his goof on TikTok for everyone to see.

So what exactly happened?

Here's what the wife gave him. As you can clearly see, it's a numbered list. However, the wife didn't put a period after the numbers. Okay, so? Well, this man thought that the numbers corresponded with the amount.

OMG, what?

Yes, that's right. This man picked up one block of Velveeta, two bags of tortilla chips, three hamburgers, four cases of water, five containers of sugar (20 lbs.), six packages of pasta, and last but definitely not least, seven containers of salt.

"I'm an idiot," he admitted at the start of his video.

Ah, haha!

I wonder what kind of a look the cashier gave him when he was checking out. So this man took the grocery haul home only to see the look on his wife's face.

He said, and I quote, "And my wife, on the other hand, got a huge kick out of seeing me carry all this [expletive] in and, um, I think she's still probably laughing about it."

You better believe it.

Needless to say, this story has now gone viral. And the comments on this video are pretty hilarious.

"I can't stop laughing. the look on the cashier's (sp) was probably priceless as they were ringing all those salts up. and you're (sp) wife. lol," said Amber GG580.

Here's something to clarify.

For the record, this man did notice how much stuff he was buying at the checkout, but it looked to him like it was a common occurrence, and even the cashier didn't bat an eye at it. So he just went along with it.

So what's the moral of this story?

"The moral of this story is ladies if you're gonna … write a list and number it, put a period. A period makes a big difference. Cuz us guys, we're just gonna look at the list and grab the [expletive]."

You can say that again, haha.

I love what this person said, "At least the salt was the cheapest thing on the list. You may have needed a loan if she had written hamburger last."

That's totally right.

Is this the type of mistake you could make while grocery shopping? To be honest, if my hubby were looking at this and was confused by the numbers, he would have texted me right away. I'm surprised this man didn't do that. I guess it was just a momentary lapse of judgment, eh?
