Dear Reader, The Duke Is 'In Talks' To Return To 'Bridgerton' For Season 3

Well, well, well — if it isn't a bit of good news regarding the one and only Regé-Jean Page, aka the beloved Duke of Hastings, aka the reason we all got hooked on Bridgerton in the first place.

When we found out that the Duke would not be returning for season two, a lot of Birdgerton fans vowed never to watch the show again. Of course, now, we know the second season was absolutely phenomenal, and many consider it to be even better than the first.

With that being said, we will always have a soft spot in our hearts for the Duke of Hastings, which is why I am eager to share the exciting news that he could be back on our screens for the next season.

When the first season of "Bridgerton" hit Netflix back in late 2020, the show quickly became known for its gorgeous cast members and very steamy sex scenes.

I mean, we all remember that yogurt scene from season 1, amirite?

I had never wanted to be a spoon until that moment...

Season two of "Bridgerton" was a much slower burn.

While I truly enjoyed the second season more than the first, there's no denying I missed our Duke — ESPECIALLY when we got to see glimpses of his wife, Daphne Bridgerton, and their adorable son, Augie.

It has been confirmed that the upcoming third season of the show will focus on Colin Bridgerton and his courtship of Penelope Featherington.

However, it is now being rumored that season three will also feature the return of our beloved Simon Basset.

According to "The Sun" actor Regé-Jean Page is in talks to be back on our screens.

Speaking to the UK publication, a source said: "Regé-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects."

"But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses."

"Nothing has been formally agreed yet," the source added, "but watch this space."

There is nothing I would love more than to watch this space in hopes of seeing the Duke sonder across a green field in a maroon suit jacket again.
