It seems like everyone and their brother can’t get enough of Yellowstone , so when it was announced last year that there was a Dutton family prequel series happening, everyone lost their dang minds .
Now that the hit series 1883 has come and gone, and sadly, it seems like it’s going to stay gone, as executive producer Taylor Sheridan confirms this post-Civil War-era Duttons drama isn’t coming back for a second season.
Don’t cry because “1883” is over, okay? We must smile because it happened!
“I’m not someone who likes to tie everything up in a bow and explain how everyone lived happily ever after, or didn’t,” Taylor Sheridan told Deadline .
Well, we know there are no bows or happily ever afters in “Yellowstone” — amirite ladies?
“On to the next peek through the window,” he added, as a reference to the Yellowstone franchise’s recently announced 1932 prequel spinoff.
I know, right? Another one. How did we get so lucky to see so many rugged, handsome men on our screen?
“1932” will move the Duttons ahead several decades and will focus on their family dynamic during the Great Depression.
Well, sign me up for that one ten times over, because I physically cannot get enough of the Dutton dudes, and ladies … of course.
