Not too long ago I wrote an article about celebrity father/son duos. It was eye opening (and a lot of fun), but it also got me thinking about the other side of that equation: mothers and daughters.
So today, I’m aiming to deliver. Below I’ve compiled 10+ pics of celeb mothers and daughters at the same age. Proof that the apple doesn’t fall far from the fame tree.
Blythe Danner and Gwyneth Paltrow at 30.

By the time Blythe Danner reached her 30th birthday, she’d already accumulated a slew of acting credits to her name.
Likewise, her daughter Gwyneth has been acting since the time she was a young girl.
Leslie Mann and Maude Apatow at 23.

Maude is the daughter of Leslie and renowned comedic director, Judd Apatow.
Over the years, Maude has made several cameo appearances in her parents’ films. She also recently appeared in The King of Staten Island starring Pete Davidson.
Lisa Bonet and Zoë Kravitz at 33 and 31.

Zoë is the spitting image of her mother and has been for her entire life.
You’ll probably remember Lisa from her time spent on The Cosby Show . She also appeared in the cult classic High Fidelity .
Melanie Griffith and Dakota Johnson at 31.

Dakota Johnson has gone from the fringes of obscurity to a household name in just a few short years. She has her mother’s eyes, as well as her knack for commanding an audience’s attention.
Lea Thompson and Zoey Deutch at 25.

I’m not saying that I necessarily want a remake of Back to the Future . All that I’m saying is that if such a scenario were to ever arise, Zoey would definitely be my number one choice to play Lorraine Baines McFly.
Demi Moore and Rumer Willis at 30.

Try to envision Rumer with the same bob-cut as Demi, and they look more like sisters than they do mother and daughter.
Rumer has appeared in several big-name movies, including Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood .
Robin Wright and Dylan Frances Penn at 27.

OK — this one is just scary. Dylan and Robin look indistinguishable at 27, and judging by recent photos of the two — not a lot has changed.
Could you imagine Dylan as Princess Buttercup?
Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson at 41.

Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson are arguably the most recognizable mother/daughter duo in all of Hollywood.
Both women began their acting careers at roughly the same age and have followed an eerily similar career trajectory.
Carrie Fisher and Billie Lourd at 27.

The death of Carrie Fisher was both tragic and heartbreaking. But her legacy lives on through her daughter, Billie Lourd.
Billie is a young actress to watch out for. She carries all the clout that her mother once did and then some.
Kyra Sedgwick and Sosie Bacon at 26.

Sosie Bacon inherited the best of both her parents. If you still haven’t seen her in Narcos: Mexico , make sure to add it to your list.
Her mother, Kyra, most recently starred as Captain Wuntch on Brooklyn 99 .
Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri at 35

Over the past 20 years, Eva Amurri has appeared in everything from How I Met Your Mother to New Girl .
She may not be the movie star that her mother is, but she’s commendable in her own right.
Peggy Lipton and Rashida Jones at 43.

You know those glass-shattering moments of discovery? When all of a sudden you feel like you’re seeing something old for the very first time?
That’s exactly how I feel now every single time I rewatch Twin Peaks . I had no idea Peggy Lipton was Rashida Jones’ mother. Seeing them side-by-side, I feel like an idiot.
Janet Leigh and Jamie Lee Curtis at 22.

Janet Leigh had already made a name for herself as a serious actor in Hollywood by the time she had turned 25.
In a similar fashion, her daughter Jamie was one of the most popular actresses of the ’80s.
Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith at 20.

It’s very seldom that you see both parents represented equally in the physical features of their children. But Willow is practically a carbon copy of both Jada and Will.
Judging by the new tunes on her Instagram, she’s clearly following in her father’s footsteps.
Reese Witherspoon and Ava Phillipe at 22.

No, that’s not Reese Witherspoon with pink hair. That’s her daughter, Ava Phillipe. Looking at a picture from Reese’s days on the set of Cruel Intentions , the similarities are shocking.
Who’s your favorite Hollywood mother/daughter duo? Leave a comment and let us know!
Diane Ladd and Laura Dern at 40.

I didn’t even know that these two were related, let alone mother and daughter. Now that I’ve seen them side-by-side, I can’t believe I never noticed it before.
Laura and her mother have an identical nose and the same eyes.
Natalie Wood and Natasha Gregson Wagner at 32

What a strange coincidence: The star of my favorite musical is the mother of one of my favorite cult actresses!
If you still haven’t seen High Fidelity , do yourself a favor over the winter holidays and find some way to stream it.
Kim Basinger and Ireland Basinger-Baldwin in their mid-20s.

It certainly isn’t hard to tell where Ireland gets her striking good looks from. She is the spitting image of her mother when she was that age.
Ireland also has the signature Baldwin pout down to a science.
Candace Cameron-Bure and Natasha Bure in their early 20s.

I was watching re-runs of Full House just the other night, so it’s throwing me for a loop to realize that DJ Tanner is a mom!
If Natasha ever decided to rock a pair of denim overalls, no one would be able to tell them apart.
Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher in their early 20s.

By all accounts, Carrie Fisher didn’t have the happiest of childhoods. She was forced to sing and perform in her mother’s one-woman show on multiple occasions, almost always against her will.
I’m still not over Carrie’s sudden and tragic death.
Phylicia Rashad and Condola Rashad in Their Mid-30s.

Condola Rashad has chosen to follow in her mother’s footsteps, but she’s mostly known for her stage acting.
It’s a shame that due to the controversy surrounding Bill Cosby, future generations will likely never see an episode of The Cosby Show .
Jerry Hall and Georgia May Jagger at 28.

Georgia May Jagger is a beautiful young woman, but she is undoubtedly her father’s daughter. I’d be able to recognize those eyes and those legendary pouty lips anywhere.
Also, did you know that Jerry Hall was in Batman ?! Because I sure didn’t.
Andie MacDowell and Margaret Qualley in their 20s.

Margaret’s role in Once Upon A Time…in Hollywood may have been minor, but she made an indelible impression on audiences everywhere.
I think it’s quite clear to see that Quentin Tarantino has found his next muse.
