10+ Pics Of Celeb Fathers And Sons At The Same Age

Jordan Claes

There's an old saying that says the apple never falls far from the tree. It certainly holds sway when we start examining some of the more famous familial ties in Hollywood.

What better way to begin than by taking a look at some of the most famous father/son duos of all time?

Have a look and check out these 10+ pics of celeb father and sons at the same age.

Bruce and Brandon Lee at 28.

Bruce Lee was one of the biggest movie stars/martial artists in the history of Chinese cinema. For a while. it looked as if his son Brandon would follow in his footsteps.

Sadly, Brandon was shot and killed in a freak accident while filming The Crow.

Kirk and Michael Douglas at 42.

The Douglas family is practically Hollywood royalty.

Kirk is regarded as one of the greatest actors of all time, while his son Michael was also able to carve out an incredibly successful career in Hollywood.

Tom and Colin Hanks at 32.

I think it goes without saying that Tom Hanks is a dying breed. He exudes kindness, professionalism, but most of all — compassion.

His son Colin is a formidable comedic actor in his own right. I'm still hoping that somehow Life in Pieces gets picked up for another season!

Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez at 23.

It's hard to believe that Emilio was only 23 years old when he made The Breakfast Club.

No matter how many years pass, I'll always think of him as "The Minnesota Miracle Man," Mr. Gordon Bombay!

Dennis and Jack Quaid at 28.

The more I watch The Boys, the more I'm beginning to see these subtle nuances and similarities between Jack and Dennis.

If Jack could only grow a wispy mustache like his dad, the transformation would be complete!

Ice Cube and O'Shea Jackson at 25.

Has there ever been an instance where a son has played his own father in a biopic about his life? There certainly aren't any that immediately come to mind.

It's as if Ice Cube is looking at a mirror into the past.

Stellan and Alexander Skarsgård at 44.

The entire Skarsgård clan has been bitten by the acting bug, but it's eldest son Alex that looks the most like his father.

They have the exact same cold, piercing stare — almost as if they're looking right through you.

Denzel and John David Washington at 36.

Have you seen Tenet yet? It was freaking mindblowing, in large part thanks to the magnetic performance of John David Washington.

I don't know if we'll ever see this father/son duo on the big screen together, but here's hoping!

James and Scott Caan at 32.

Don't underestimate Scott Caan. He may present himself as being a bit of a goof, but his acting abilities didn't fall far from the tree.

He speaks with the exact same conviction and force as his father.

Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. at 35.

I like to consider myself an expert with it comes to the canon of one Marlon Wayans Sr. I've probably watched Major Payne about 40 times in my lifetime.

When I first saw Coach on New Girl, I thought I'd seen a ghost.

Kurt and Wyatt Russell at 32.

Wyatt has slowly and quietly been building a name for himself. If you're looking for a good scare, you should definitely check out his episode of Black Mirror.

Wyatt has his dad's rugged good looks and his mother's golden fleece.

Will and Jaden Smith at 22.

Am I the only one who is clamoring for a reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, only with Jaden playing Will Smith?!

How incredibly cool and meta would that be? They're practically the same person.

John and Jason Ritter at 29.

ABC/ NBC

John Ritter became famous for his perplexed facial expressions. His awkward, charming sense of humor helped him burrow his way into the deepest recess of our hearts.

Jason has all of his dad's charisma, as well as his boyish good looks.

James and Josh Brolin at 40.

Picture Josh with a little more facial hair and these two could be brothers! I'd say we're probably due for another sequel to The Amityville Horror, so maybe Josh could star in it this time around?

Martin and Charlie Sheen at 39.

That's right, Martin Sheen has not one but two famous sons! I personally think he naturally looks more like Emilio, but Marty and Charlie definitely have the same expressiveness to their features.

Val and Jack Kilmer at 25.

Jack Kilmer looks like a mini Iceman in the making. If you gave him a quick haircut and slapped a flight suit on him, I'd wager you'd be hard-pressed to tell this father/son duo apart.

Especially if they were both wearing aviators.

Jackie and Jaycee Chan at 38.

Jaycee and Jackie have an identical smile. When I look at these photos, I'm instantly transported back to my youth.

Speaking of which, I think I'm long past due for another viewing of Rumble in the Bronx.

Gary and Jake Busey at 34.

When you look at the Busey men, one word comes to mind: teeth. When Gary and Jake smile, it looks like they're smuggling piano keys in their mouths.

Sidebar: if you haven't seen Gary in The Buddy Holly Story, it's one of the best music biopics that's ever been made.

Don and Jesse Johnson at 38.

Do you know how sometimes fathers and sons share the same mannerisms? Just take a look at these two; they're doing the same pose decades removed from one another!

Hmm... I wonder how Jesse would look in a pink shirt and blazer?

Kirk and Michael Douglas again, but this time at 30.

I know this might sound like a weird thing to say, but Kirk and Michael Douglas have an excellent chin. It's a common trait among many leading men in Hollywood.

The bigger the chin, the bigger the star.

Jeremy and Max Irons at 33.

Try and picture Jeremy without the mustache and he bears a striking resemblance to his son, Max.

Over the past few years, Max's star power has been on the rise. You can see him in Terminal, alongside Margot Robbie.

Eugene and Dan Levy at 37.

OK, so I think it's safe to say that Dan inherited his father's signature caterpillar eyebrows. But thank goodness Dan went a different direction when it comes to his hairstyle.

No offense, Eugene, but that afro isn't doing you any favors.

Mel and Milo Gibson at 30.

Now that is what I call a beard. Milo looks as if he's only just returned from his most recent expedition into the Outback. He and Mel also have the exact same eyes.
