Megan Fox’s life has changed drastically over the past decade.
While she was once a household name, known for her roles in Transformers and Jennifer’s Body , she’s not acting much anymore.

1. She always knew that she wanted to be an actress:
The dream and desire came to her when she was only two years old.
“My mum said it was the only thing I ever said I wanted to do,” she told The New York Times .
“When I was 4 or 5, I watched *The Wizard of Oz*, and for a year, I asked her to call me Dorothy.”
She continued:
“When my mom explained to me that Dorothy was not real, that an actress plays her, I decided I wanted to be an actress.”
2. She grew up very modestly in rural Tennessee:
Rockwood was her home, which she described to GQ UK as “a semi-mountain town.”
“My dad used to hunt ducks and my mom would put them in the pot,” she said. “We lived really modestly. We had very little money.”
3. She has a fear of touching newspapers:
For her, it’s like “nails on a chalkboard” she told Wonderland Magazine .
“I can’t stand to touch newspapers. Anything laminated is fine. Actual dry [expletive] paper I can’t touch. It gives me chillbumps. Ughh.”
She’s also afraid of touching tissue paper.
“People can’t touch me with dry things like that. I get really upset. It’s something about how dry it is that I can’t touch it. Those are my main fears,” she said.
4. She was an extra in *Bad Boys II* when she was just 15:
She recalled the experience to Jimmy Fallon.
“They were shooting this club scene, and they brought me in. I was wearing a stars and stripes bikini and a red cowboy hat and six-inch heels.”
Her history of being sexualized at a young age has recently come to light.
5. She used to work at a smoothie shop dressed as a giant banana:
Talk about an odd job !
“I worked at a little smoothie shop in Florida and I mostly worked behind the register,” she recalled to Ellen DeGeneres in 2010.
“Once a week, usually on Fridays, someone had to dress up as a fruit, a piece of fruit and go out and stand by the highway,” she said.
“I was a giant banana.”
This makes her have something in common with Brad Pitt, since he used to dress up as a chicken for his job!
6. She has one female friend:
Her name’s Mindy and she’s a facialist, the actress shared with Cosmopolitan in 2014.
“I consider myself a ‘girl’s girl’ in that I’m not competitive, jealous, or catty, but I don’t have a ton of female friends.”
She doesn’t have many guy friends, either.
“I’ve never been a social butterfly. I don’t feel lonely or isolated. I have one really great friend and that’s all I need.”
Now that she has three kids, they can be her friends!
7. She was fired from *Transformers* by director Michael Bay:
The role may have made her a household name, but she called the experience of working with Bay a ” nightmare .”
“He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.”
She also called the director “hopelessly awkward.”
“He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he’s a tyrant.”
In the end, she was replaced by model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
8. She became very sick losing 30 pounds for *Jennifer’s Body*:
“I was telling myself I was being Method, which was so outrageous and ridiculous and not true,” she said .
“But I ended up getting sick and my hair started falling out and I was like, ‘Oh, I can’t do this.'”
9. She loves to eat raw baked goods:
The Jennifer’s Body star has a major sweet tooth — with a twist.
“I have a bad sweet tooth and I eat tons of unbaked things. Dough. Fudge. Brownie mix. Cake mix. To the point where you think you have salmonella,” she told Wonderland Magazine in 2009.
10. She once got banned from Walmart for stealing:
This happened when the Transformers star was just a teenager. She got caught stealing makeup from the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen line of cosmetics.
She was also given community service.
11. She had her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed:
This used to be her most iconic tattoo, but she got it removed after learning more about her idol’s life.
“I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult,” she told Esquire in 2013.
“It’s like when you visualize something for your future. I didn’t want to visualize something so negative.”
She continued on, saying that she didn’t want to follow in the late actress’s footsteps.
“She wasn’t powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lindsay [Lohan]. She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable.”
12. She identifies as bisexual:
“I have no question in my mind about being bisexual,” she told Esquire .
But while she identifies as such, she has said that she could never date a girl, and for an interesting reason.
“But I’m also a hypocrite,” she carried on.
“I would never date a girl who was bisexual because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.”
13. She and her current boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly, had chemistry right away.
“I think it was the second day, I asked him to come into my trailer for lunch, and I put him through all of this astrology stuff,” Fox said . “I went deep right away. I knew before I even did his chart, I said to him, he has a Pisces moon. I could tell by his energy.”
“I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame,” she said.
“Instead of a soulmate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think.”
14. According to one of her *Transformers* co-stars, Josh Duhamel, the entire set stops to look when Megan Fox makes her entrance.
“It was interesting to watch their reaction,” he said . “These guys love her and she gets all their attention. And it can’t help but be difficult and uncomfortable. That scrutiny can’t not affect you. It’s tough, especially for a young girl.”
15. She is probably a bigger fangirl than you.
She is a lover of all things sci-fi and fantasy, no matter which form they come in.
I would love to see her go toe-to-toe with a non-celebrity fan of sci-fi to see who would win in a battle of knowledge!
16. She knows that some people think badly of her because she is so open about sex.
“People are like, ‘You’re trailer trash. Look at your tattoos and the way you talk. Trailer trash.'” she said.
I think it’s about time that we leave the poor girl alone and let her do what she wants!
17. She didn’t share her #MeToo stories years ago, as she didn’t believe she would be seen as a victim.
“I just didn’t think based on how I’d been received by people, and by feminists, that I would be a sympathetic victim,” she said.
“I thought if ever there were a time where the world would agree that it’s appropriate to victim-shame someone, it would be when I come forward with my story.”
It is such a shame she didn’t feel more supported.
This is why it is so important to be sympathetic and compassionate with victims.
18. Sharing kisses on screen is way more uncomfortable than it looks.
In fact, she thinks it’s quite “gross!”
Considering the fact that there are a handful of people watching her make out with her co-star and directing her on how to do so, this isn’t hard to believe.
19. When she was a child, she believes she was “obnoxiously outgoing.”
“I would put on shows in our living room. It wasn’t even a need to perform. I just always wanted everyone’s attention to be focused on me,” she said.
But while she craved the spotlight as a child, she grew to hate it once she got famous.
“I grew up craving the spotlight and once it happened I immediately recoiled. Up until the very moment it happened I was really outgoing. Now I’m really introverted. I thought that I would love it, that this was the kind of life I wanted, that everyone wanted. And it’s not all that it seems.”
20. She believes that she is so insecure because of her parents’ divorce.
After her father left, it left a mark on her that she has carried throughout her life.
It led to a lot of feelings of rejection.
21. Being a celebrity comes with a lot of feelings of loneliness.
