Rejoice! Winter is almost at its end, and spring, glorious spring , is on its way. And what’s the best part about this much-needed change in season? Cherry blossoms!
Every year you can count on the stunning spectacle that is the cherry blossom tree bloom to welcome spring back into the spotlight. It’s understandably a pretty huge event that draws eager crowds to places like Washington DC and Japan.
But now you don’t have to travel far and wide just to see these beautiful buds turn into blushing flowers, because Home Depot is selling trees for as low as $39!
The home improvement chain is offering you the chance to plant your own Kwanzan Cherry Blossom Trees.
These adorable saplings are two years old at the time of shipping and range anywhere between three and four feet tall in their pots.
But at their maturity, these beauties can reach heights of between 30 and 40 feet, and when they’re in full bloom, your backyard will be treated to a magical canopy of pink flowers.
According to Home Depot, the Kwanzan trees are the easiest of all the cherry blossom plants to grow.
But just in case you still need some helpful pointers, the Tree Center explains that plants prefer to grow in acidic soils that are well-drained and not overly wet. They also recommend watering the tree once a week for 30 minutes its first season, and then just once every two or three weeks afterwards.
These plants are pretty flexible when it comes to sunlight, so they’ll happily grow in almost any backyard dwelling.
Head on over to the Home Depot website to order your beautiful cherry blossom tree before they bloom.
You can find the trees available here for $39.
Or, if your thumb isn’t quite that green and you don’t trust yourself to keep a real cherry blossom tree alive and well, you could always pick up this artificial cherry blossom bonsair tree .
