No matter where you live or who you live with, everyone has a few items that are their “go-to” shopping items when they are going to get groceries for their fridge. Sometimes, we buy things specifically for cooking meals and prepping for the week.
However, regardless of what we are going to cook that week, we still have those staples we absolutely get every single time. There are some items we keep in our fridge at all times. Recently, women on Reddit shared their “must-have” food items they always have at home.
Baking necessities.
14941494 shared she always has three baking staples in her fridge: milk, eggs, and butter. No matter what she decides to bake, they are going to include at least the majority of these things. And, if all else fails, she can make a nice omelet for breakfast, too.
Italian staples.
mountaintowner said that she always keeps basil, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes in her fridge. Clearly, that’s a major Italian staple, but those few things can put together a nice salad, or even make a pizza if you have some dough or bread laying around.
This sounds spectacular.
Loud_Machine3092 said that she always has three specific things in her fridge and they are the best of the best: chardonnay, rosé, and pinot. Clearly, she gets the assignment. Everyone knows these are the best essentials to have.
Mexican fiesta.
strfox666 revealed they always have coke (love a soda break), cheese, and pico de Gallo. The last two tell us that this lady is always ready for taco night or even a nacho break. Who doesn’t want some chips with melted cheese and salsa?!?
Condiments are everything.
SkymallSkeeball said that having eggs is key. But, she always has mayo and a good hot sauce. When all else fails, she said that the ingredients make for a “good rice” meal. Spicy fried rice does sound pretty damn good.
Can’t forget your water.
littlemuffinbaby shared that aside from her fruit and yogurt, she always has her Brita Pitcher filled up and ready to go. For those who don’t know, Brita water pitchers filter out sink water and get out all the gunk that comes from tap water sometimes.

strawberriemuffins said that they always have oat milk, cold brew coffee, and orange juice in their fridge. Not for nothing, drinks like this are what make our days that much better and easier. We need the coffee, and the OJ gives us that vitamin C we need too.
It’s like a Lunchables.
Guacamoleez shared she always has “cheese, juice, and booze.” Not for nothing, the cheese and juice give us major “adult Lunchable vibes.” Who doesn’t love that charcuterie board? This lady knows a good time when she sees one.
A smart queen.
Treatie915 shared aside from eggs and lemons, she always has a “ready-made salad mix” in her fridge. Honestly, these are a life savor—if you eat them in time. They do go bad super fast. But, when you need a quick lunch or dinner, they are the go-to!
Milk, it’s good for your bones!

Milk tho is a big one. Love a good Milky latte or tea but I absolutely despise when people leave milk out of the fridge. It’s like my pet hate. Haha. So literally my milk must always be in the fridge,” said MambyPamby8 .
FYI, bread in the fridge lasts longer.
SolSara said that they always have milk, butter, and bread in their fridge. If you didn’t know, bread does stay better for longer when you keep it in the fridge or the freezer. Just heat/toast it when you are ready to use it and you’re good to go. Save yourself moldy bread and money.
Greek yogurt is a great choice.
