When couples start living together, it doesn’t take long before a routine starts to form.
And while some partners can find themselves taking more of the load than others, there are certain household tasks that each person generally has a greater aptitude or preference for. And when that routine goes on for long enough, it can be a rare sight akin to a unicorn when someone in a relationship does more than their usual jobs.
But of course, we’ll eventually find that our significant others can’t always be there, which leaves us to cover their side of the house’s business. And without the practice that they’ve had, the results can sometimes be hilariously disastrous .
But if anyone’s found a way to prevent that kind of calamity, one woman showed that she’s the one based on the way prepared her husband for a trip to the grocery store.
On August 1, a couple’s joint TikTok account called @adamxmelinda posted a video showing off the elaborate list Melinda made for Adam.

Based on the caption here, it seems like this is a scenario that happens very occasionally as she writes up a guide to explain what they need as clearly as possible.
Not only does she paste in a picture of each item, but she makes a note of how much of them is needed and how much they cost.

Because everyone should share in the delight when an item is on sale, I suppose.
You may have also noticed the unusual coding system she uses when it comes to telling Adam which aisles he can find these things in.
And it turns out that’s not because she shops at a weird grocery store, but rather because she also drew a map to accompany the list.

So not only does it seem incredibly hard to forget items or misjudge how many are needed, but it looks next to impossible for Adam to get lost because each item’s location is clearly marked on her map.
As you might expect, the incredibly thorough and foolproof design of this list made a pretty big impression on TikTok.
However, it also seemed to have users so concerned at how clueless her husband is that some were apparently recommending divorce.
As Ladbible pointed out , this led her to post a comment saying, “Please keep in mind this is just a joke.”
And in response, one commenter said, “I know it’s a joke but after seeing all those TikToks on husbands/dads you have to realise that the bar for them is so low.”
