Many times in life people go through different experiences that change them as a person entirely. Some experiences in life are unique and uncommon, making them a complete anomaly and even strange to those on the outside .
One of the craziest experiences some people share is having died and coming back to life—not everyone has been there, but some people share that they have experienced it once.
Everyone wants to know the answer to life’s burning question.
The one question many people have when they are alive is what happens after we all die. There are many people who believe several different things about life after death.
Some are religious and believe in heaven.
There are those who are religious and believe in Heaven and God, knowing what is waiting for them when they die. They have a steadfast faith in this and do not question whether or not it’s true.
Then, there are those who believe in reincarnation.
There are also people who believe we come back in life as something or someone else. There are also those who believe that absolutely nothing happens after we die—we just die and that’s it.
There are times when people experience “near-death” situations.
Some individuals suffer horrific accidents where they lose consciousness and barely make it out alive. Then there are those who actually have their hearts completely stop, only to be brought back by doctors and medics.
Not many people remember what happens during these moments.
When this happens, there are those who cannot remember much before or after they lose their consciousness. Some people can’t recall even what happened to cause their near-death experience in the first place.
However, there are rare occurrences where people remember dying and returning to life.
Two women, Jessie Sawyer and Betty J Eadie, happen to have both suffered the having died and come back to life experience and both ladies recall exactly what happened when they died.
Eadie had surgery in 1973 and died on the table, but was brought back to life.
During that time, Eadie shared that she remembers feeling the sensation of her actual spirit leave her body and she could see herself lying on a bed from outside of her own body.
She claims to have met three ancient men who took her on a journey.
Eadie says she met three older men who told her that she had died, but they led her to the hospital where she was undergoing surgery. There, she claims to have met Jesus Christ—who hugged her and told her it wasn’t her time to go.
She then was led to a garden and met three angels.
The angels took her to meet God, who was in the physical form of “the most beautiful man” Eadie had ever seen. God had told her she would go back to her physical form.
Eadie told doctors of her experience five years after the incident.
Her doctors revealed to Eadie she had been “medically dead” for some time, and she shared the story of the “afterlife” that she lived. She even wrote a book about everything that she had encountered during that time.
The 73-year-old says she can’t wait to go back.
Although it comes with death, Eadie shared in her book that she wants to go back to the afterlife, despite it meaning that she will no longer be living on this Earth.
31-year-old Jessie Sawyer has a different story of what death is like.
Sawyer had undergone a hysterectomy and had “died” and come back to life. In her own afterlife experience, she said it left her “no longer fearing death itself.”
Sawyer said she saw someone very important to her.
Rather than seeing God, Sawyer had seen the figure of one of her best friends who died two years earlier. She also recalls “falling back into her body” and says that it hurt when she did.
She did, however, see a bright light.
Before she became reacquainted with her body, feeling the sensation of coming back to it, she claims to have seen a bright light. Doctors told Sawyer she was “walking the line between life and death for a while.”
Whether or not these stories are true—it’s unclear.
While both ladies share their stories and feelings about what happened to themselves when they died and came back to life, we don’t really know the truth—we have to just trust in their narratives and countless others who have also shared their own stories .
