In life, there are some things that people know they are meant to do . Some of us know what we want to do in our lives and our careers. Others know that they want to be parents and have children.
However, having children is not as easy as one would think. Sometimes, women struggle with conception and fertility and need to seek outside intervention.

For decades, science has come a long way in fertility treatments. There are many ways that women can seek help such as IVF treatments and also medical testing for any problems and issues.
Some women spend years trying to have a baby.
When wanting to have a child, there are some women who struggle and try for years to find some sort of help and treatment. However, not everything works right away. Some treatments take a long time.
One woman knows this to be true, as she just became one of the oldest women in the world to have kids.
Chandravati, 70-year-old, from Rajasthan in India, successfully gave birth to a baby who weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces. Chandravati is now one of the oldest women in the world to have a baby.
Chandravati and her husband, Gopichand, have been trying to have kids for years.
Chandravati was trying IVF treatment for years with her husband. The two have been married for 54 years and wanted to have a child together. They had been trying for decades.
The two began their parenthood journey in 1968.
All these years later, the couple was unsuccessful until they turned to IVF treatment. Successfully, Chandravati was able to deliver her child and was so touched, that she had tears in her eyes, doctors said.
Chandravati is not alone in her miracle birth, either.
In 2019, a 74-year-old woman, Mangayamma Yaramati, gave birth to twins in India after she also underwent IVF treatment after years of trying to conceive with her husband. In their culture, not having children was frowned upon.
Yaramati shared that at the time, they wanted a baby so badly.
Yaramati and her husband, 82-year-old, Sitarama Rajarao, told BBC that in their village, they were “stigmatized” for not having any children and were looked at strangely because they were childless.
IVF has changed the pregnancy journey for many mothers.
For many mothers who struggle with having children, IVF has become a way for them to do so in a healthy and successful manner.
In this case for example, the mother was much older, which meant they were already in menopause.
The IVF treatment allowed for successful conception outside of their bodies.
Doctors share that for women of their age, the egg is fertilized outside of the body and then put inside of their body to implant in their body and grow.
Age doesn’t matter after this point because women’s uteruses are healthy and do not deteriorate with age.
For eggs, age may come into play. But, for a woman’s uterus, there is not much that changes with age. Egg donors and IVF allow older women to carry babies no matter their age.
No matter what age, motherhood is a beautiful thing.
Obviously, it’s wonderful when we see a mother’s dream of having children and becoming a mother comes true. No matter the age, motherhood is such a magical journey!
