There are so many classic children’s stories we all remember and hold dear to our hearts, and Maurice Sendak’s Where The Wild Things Are is definitely one of them. All of us could either identify with Max or had a sibling, cousin, or friend who fit the bill as well, and the book taught us all a valuable lesson about patience.
*Where The Wild Things Are* is a beautiful story.
With gorgeous illustrations by Maurice Sendak himself, the story of a young boy with a wild imagination and short temper captured all of our hearts and minds as children, and then did so again in the Spike Jonze movie of the same name.
Apple has now struck a deal with the Maurice Sendak Foundation to potentially bring the show to AppleTV.
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Apple struck a deal for the right to create television series and specials from Sendak’s entire catalog, which obviously includes Where The Wilds Things Are among other works.
This is the first time the Foundation has made such a deal.
Other works in Sendak’s catalog that Apple can make a TV series or special out of includes In The Night Kitchen, Outside Over There , and The Nutshell Library.
Are you excited to see the Wild Things brought back to your screen? Let us know in the comments!
