Mall Santas are great when you’re a little kid, or when you have little kids of your own. But the magic doesn’t have to stop there. Teens, adults, the elderly, anyone can stop by to take a pic on Santa’s knee. Apparently, you can even bring your dog in to meet him.
The Australian-based TikTok account Eva_On_Point shared an adorable video of the owner’s dog going to meet a mall Santa for the first time. Posted in late November, the video ended up gaining over 400 thousand views. People from around the world couldn’t get enough of the adorable pup!
The 10-Second Clip Shows The Dog’s Whole Adventure.
The video starts with a woman walking with her German shorthair pointer pup through a relatively empty mall. The dog later checks out the Christmas display and is especially fond of a reindeer statue nearby. A few shots show how she tries to bite the snout of the statue, which doesn’t really go as the dog planned.
The end of the TikTok shows the pup excitedly making her way over to Santa, who calmly tries to wrangle her in for a picture. She seems to sit down well enough but isn’t all that calm.
Commenters Were Obsessed With The Video.
The dog was acting so cute, despite the fact that she was also pretty hyperactive. The part where she tried to bite the reindeer’s nose was especially funny, and a bunch of commenters joked about that.
Other Users Are Amazed That The Dog Was Allowed In A Mall.
Many commenters wondered how the dog in the TikTok was allowed to be in a mall. The user clarified that her local mall had after-hours photoshoots specifically for pets. Other users shared that they were planning on bringing their dogs to their own mall Santa to snap some adorable pics.
Some Users Even Shared Their Own Stories.
It seems like there are plenty of places where you can get a photo of your dog with Santa, from malls to stores like PetSmart. One user even shared how their dog was a little too rambunctious for the photoshoot.
Many Wondered How The Pictures Turned Out.
The user posted a follow-up, showing the pics of her dog with Santa, as well as with the rest of the family. It’s amazing that Santa was able to get such a hyper dog to sit long enough for a pic.
