Vin Diesel recently paid tribute to his old friend and Fast & Furious co-star — the late Paul Walker, in a recent Instagram post and it’s making us all emotional af.
As we approach the sixth anniversary of Paul Walker’s death, it’s only natural that his closest friends are feeling sentimental.

To honor Paul’s memory, Vin Diesel recently dedicated an Instagram post to him.
Paul passed away on November 30th, 2013, at the age of 40.

While he was in Santa Clarita, California, attending a charity event for Reach Out Worldwide to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, he was involved in a fatal car accident.
He was reportedly seated in the passenger seat of a Porsche, alongside his friend who was the driver.

His friend, unfortunately, lost control of the vehicle, sending it into a tree.
The car was found engulfed in flames.

Both Paul and his friend were pronounced dead on the scene.
At the time of the accident, Paul had just finished working on the movie Brick Mansions , and was in the middle of filming Fast & Furious 7 .
Brick Mansions was released the following year, and “Fast & Furious 7” premiered in April 3, 2015.

It was a huge box office hit.
Thanks to Paul’s brother Cody — who closely resembles him, and the help of CGI, they were actually able to maintain his role for the entire film.
Paul was involved in all seven “Fast & Furious” up until that point.

So, of course, fans were curious how and if he would be incorporated through his brother going forward.
The movie ended up bringing in $1.7 billion internationally — which really came as no surprise.

Fans were blown away by how they were able to seemingly bring Paul back to for the second half of the film.
The eigth “Fast & Furious” film, “The Fate of the Furious”, did not include Cody Walker.

However, there have been rumors circulating the web that he will be apart of the ninth — which is being filmed currently.
Vin Diesel has been sharing a ton of photos on Instagram off the set of “Fast & Furious 9” lately.

So, when he posted this photo of himself and Cody on set together, it raised some suspicion .
“There is something special that happens every time Cody comes to visit production….,” he captioned the photo.

“Always making Pablo proud! All love, always. #Fast92020 #Fatherhood #FastFamily”.
Pablo was Vin’s nickname for Paul, btw.
Cody commented on the photo.

“Be good,” he wrote .
We’re not entirely sure what that means. But we’re hoping it means that he will, in fact, be returning for the ninth movie.
So, the million dollar question on every “Fast & Furious” fan’s mind is, “will Cody be returning to play the role of Brian O’Conner?”

I mean, the hints have been dropped for a reason.
This is me jumping to conclusions.
Fans are excited to catch a glimpse of Paul Walker, recreated again.

Most of have our fingers crossed that Cody Walker will be stepping in to try and fill Paul’s very big shoes.
Others think that they should stop trying to recreate Paul Walker’s character.

Another totally respectable option.
Whatever happens, Paul is being honored in the best possible ways by his family and friends.
Let us know what you think of Vin Diesel’s emotional Instagram tribute to Paul Walker.
