Nothing unites the internet quite like a hack that is less of a hack and more of a how-to demonstration on making a big mess . A recent viral video that claimed that “real Italians” mix and serve spaghetti on their kitchen counters has received a lot of reactions online.
Okay, so here’s the hack. Spoiler alert: it is deeply stupid.

I can’t try and sugar coat it, guys. I can’t even be objective. This hack is just awful.
So, Facebook couple Josh and Lisa decided to get themselves some viral clout by dumping pasta sauce on their kitchen counter.
If you’re thinking to yourself, ‘Hey, can this get worse?’ the answer is, yes.

Yes, it can. See, I don’t think Josh and Lisa were 100% joking. Their entire timeline is filled with “hacks” designed to gain them social media attention, and boy did they succeed with this mess.
Their followers were baffled.

Their page was quickly filled with people absolutely floored by the ridiculousness of the hack. My favorite comment is definitely the dog hair one, tbh. It’s as gross as it is hilarious.
However, things really took off when Twitter got ahold of the video.
See, Facebook viral and Twitter viral are two very different things. Twitter put the video in front of celebrities, media outlets, and the eyes of an unsuspecting — and horrified — audience.
Garfield and QuestLove had some opinions.

In an absolutely wild turn of events, the official Garfield account got wind of the hack and decided they had to comment on it. QuestLove agreed with their disapproval of counter spaghetti.
Twitter had JOKES.

This is just a small example of the jokes people had in the thread. Other personal favorites include “She saved a pan and murdered Italian cuisine.”
It wasn’t all jokes, though.
A lot of people pointed out how sad it was to see people so brazenly waste food in order to get a bit of social media attention. And Josh and Lisa clearly waste a lot of food.
One TikTok user actually broke down why she thinks Josh and Lisa do what they do.

“I am fully convinced — and you cannot convince me otherwise — that these videos fulfill a very specific fetish […] for some guy super into manicures and food.”
I mean, it’s that, and it’s the attention they get. I think it’s both.
Sadly, Josh and Lisa weren’t good sports about it.
They issued a copyright claim on the tweet that helped them go viral, removing the video from Jarvis’ initial tweet .
May they have the best of luck (and best sanitation) in their future food endeavors.
