People Are Loving A Viral Hack That Uses Wine Glasses To Cut Cake

Have you ever heard of a weird food hack you never thought would work? Well, I just stumbled upon such a thing — and you will never believe it unless you see it.

Apparently, people are using wine glasses to cut a cake instead of just a regular knife! What? Yes, that's right. Check it out and see for yourself.

I have to admit that when I first heard of this hack, I was skeptical.

I mean, what the heck is this thing about cutting a cake with wine glasses? What's next? But if you can believe it, this food hack does actually work.

This hack first went viral when a TikTok user, @theroseperiod, posted a video of it.

In the video, you see her daughter blowing out candles on her birthday cake and then proceeding to grab a wine glass. Then she cuts the cake using the wine glass.

What? How did she even come up with that?

I can't even fathom it. Whatever gave her this idea, I will never understand. That being said, despite how weird it is, it does work.

Next, everyone else at the party grabs a glass and cuts themselves a piece.

They're all using wine glasses to cut the remainder of the birthday cake. One by one, they all grab a big chunk of the cake. There is no need to worry about cutting it wrong or anything since the wine glass does most of the work.

Who needs a knife to cut a cake when you can use your wine glasses instead?

Cutting the cake using a knife is pretty messy anyway. I always have a hard time doing it myself. So, this seems like such a better way of accomplishing it. Plus, everyone can just help themselves!

After this mom posted the video, it went viral. It got over 1.6 million views and 450,000 likes.

People thought this idea was pretty genius. What is there not to like, I ask? It's something I've never seen before, that's for sure.

People started commenting on how genius this hack is.

Someone even put it all together like this: cup + cake = cupcake. Wow, ha, ha! It makes total sense to me. What do you think? That's pretty smart, huh?

I think it's a pretty genius way to get that cake where you want it without worrying about the mess.

Do you hear what I'm saying here? Come on, are you getting on board with this? It couldn't get any easier than this.

It does look like a lot more fun than cutting the cake the typical way.

I can't believe it took us so long to figure out a better way. What were we thinking? Or better yet, were we not thinking at all?

Imagine letting all your friends grab their own piece of cake from now on.

They don't have to wait for you to struggle cutting it at all. This smart cake cutting hack will pay for itself many times over. Don't you think so?

Some people even suggested that this is very COVID-friendly.

I mean, you don't have to worry about touching the cake accidentally. Now everybody can grab a piece themselves a lot more safely. Hmm, who knows? It could become a new trend.

Let's pay respect to the first person who came up with this genius hack.

It just goes to show you that when you put your mind to work (and post it online for the world to see) amazing things can happen. Am I right? Ha, ha! I just love this.

I think I'm going to forgo the knife the next time I'm trying to cut birthday cake or any other cake for that matter.

It looks like such a fun way to enjoy eating a delicious dessert together with your friends and family.

Does it make sense to you or not? If you do try it, just make sure you're careful. The last thing you want is broken glass in your birthday cake.
