Renting or selling a place can be a full-time job. You need to do your due diligence to make sure the place looks as nice as possible — especially when you’re about to take photos for online viewing.
So when one Twitter user stumbled upon these pictures of a house, they immediately knew something was off. Take a look to see what I mean.
This Los Angeles house for rent was listed recently on hotpads.
There was nothing really too unusual about this rental property at first. It looks like just a typical house from the outside at least. And, it’s in a pretty good neighborhood.
A couple of pictures of the inside also seemed pretty ordinary.
Here you can see a nice kitchen with some modern appliances. Everything looks clean and neat, too. So far so good, right? Wrong, get a load of the next few shots.
Here’s where it starts to get a bit weird.
Do you see something a bit odd in this shot here? Like for example this flower pot? Doesn’t it seem just a tad out of place? It’s obviously photoshopped. Am I right?
What? I mean, it looks like it’s just floating in the air. Ha, ha!
How can you not spot it? I don’t think it’s just me. Why would anybody need to do this? The place looks pretty good as it is. No?
Take a look at the full shot of it here.
If this wasn’t terrible enough now there are two badly photoshopped stools there, too. W*F? I mean, why? I just don’t get it. Do you? This looks so tacky, it’s actually really funny.
Here’s the kicker, check out this picture of the living room.
This couch doesn’t look like it belongs at all. It actually looks to me like somebody swiped it off of Ikea’s website or something and placed it right here.
Oh my goodness, what am I seeing here?
Is this some kind of new real estate trend I’m not aware of? I gotta say, I hope not because this isn’t going to help any places rent or sell for that matter.
People on Twitter are having a field day with this listing, to say the least.
Someone even posted a picture of a property they found on another listing website that’s just as bad as this one if not worse ha, ha!
It’s like this listing was made for sarcastic tweets.
At least, I hope they are being sarcastic. This is definitely not an example of top-notch staging.
This one looks like a couch, a rug, and even the carpet has been horribly photoshopped.
I’m so baffled by this. Can anyone explain the appeal of this to me? Oh wait, and there’s a floating plant in there, too.
I guess this isn’t the first time this guy has heard of something like this.
Can you believe somebody actually asked him to photoshop furniture into their listing? I’m so glad he said no. I wouldn’t want to be associated with c**p like this either.
I gotta admit this gave me a pretty good laugh.
I still don’t understand why anyone would do something like this. I wonder if they know their listing is going viral on Twitter ha, ha! Perhaps now this place will rent ASAP.
