Things got heated up between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump as Trump called Zelensky “a modestly successful comedian” and “a dictator without elections.”
The back and forth didn’t stop at this, Zelensky accused Trump of falling for Russian fake news while Trump suggested that Ukraine is to blame for the Russian invasion that took place three years ago.
Trump made an out-of-the-box suggestion
Trump wanted Kyiv to pay Washington back for the aid it received, not in money, but rather through a $500 billion mineral exploration deal.
Zelensky thought that it was “not a serious conversation” and stated that his country was not for sale.
Trump gave his two cents on Truth Social
Trump made a lengthy post condemning Zelensky and the Biden administration for how they acted during the war.
“I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died – And so it continues…” Trump explained.
He showed Zelensky no mercy
“Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the US and ‘TRUMP,’ will never be able to settle,” he also wrote on his platform.
He also criticized former president Joe Biden
Trump claimed that Zelensky played Biden “like a fiddle” since the US gave more funds to Kyiv than European nations.
Trump didn’t stop at this but he also subtly threatened the Ukrainian president, saying: “Zelensky better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left.”
Trump flexed that he’ll end the war
He declared that his administration is “successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only ‘TRUMP,’ and the Trump Administration, can do.”
Also, he pointed out that, from his point of view, “Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the ‘gravy train’ going.”
Zelensky fired back
After Trump accused him of refusing to have elections, Zelensky fired back with numbers, demonstrating a poll from the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, showing that 57% of Ukrainians have faith in him. Additionally, he claimed that any attempts to replace him during the war would fail.
Germany sided with Zelensky

Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said in a statement: “No one but Putin started or wanted this war in the heart of Europe. We are working with all our strength to further strengthen Ukraine,” debunking Trump’s claims that Zelensky started the war.
