Preston Ordone, two-year-old son of TikTok family vloggers Katelynn Ordone and Jaelan Ordone, has died in a car accident on April 24 that involved the whole family.
The boy was known as the ‘Okay Baby’ on the platform as he continuously went viral for charmingly saying “OK” before doing all sorts of mischievous activities.
Authorities confirmed the car accident

Preliminary investigation into the accident found that the couple’s 2011 Ford F-150 truck veered off the road and struck a tree at around 11:50 a.m. in St. Tammany Parish, around 50 miles north of New Orleans.
Police confirmed the toddler’s death

Louisiana State Police announced on social media that TikTok influencers Katelynn Ordone and Jaelan Ordone’s 2-year-old son Preston Ordone had died following the car accident.
Although all three of them were taken to nearby hospitals with the parents still recovering, the 2-year-old boy unfortunately suffered critical injuries and couldn’t make it.
The couple’s friends also confirmed the news

In a video posted on April 27, the couple’s loved ones confirmed the devastating news.
TikTok family vloggers Melanie Matranga and Carson Matranga, who are friends with the couple, posted a video on behalf of them on Katelynn’s account.
The couple sustained serious injuries

In the video, Melanie Matranga explained that the couple had sustained serious injuries from the accident, sharing, “Katelynn has multiple broken bones. She had a very bad concussion. She walked for the first time today.”
She added, “Jaelan had to have emergency surgery on one of his legs. He has rods in them, pins in them. They’re both at different hospitals.”
The TikToker also confirmed the boy’s death

Matranga continued, “Preston was removed from the vehicle and brought to the hospital. They tried everything that they could.” The vlogger explained that unfortunately, the little boy didn’t make it.
She said the couple’s daughter was well

Keeping viewers in the know, Matranga also shared that Katelynn and Jaelan’s 7-year-old daughter Paisley Ordone was not involved in the accident, saying, “She was at school at the time. She was not in the vehicle.”

The family’s loved ones reflected on the toddler’s online presence, saying that many viewers know him for always saying ‘OK’ when asked to be careful before doing an activity like jumping in the pool or in mud puddles.
In one video, which gained 18 million views, Katelynn posted the boy continuously saying ‘OK’ with the caption, “We’re still trying to figure out what okay means to him.”

In the video, Carson Matranga, Melanie’s husband, also acknowledged the “huge impact” the two-year-old had on the people around him.
“He made people smile, laugh, I know you guys looked forward to seeing him every day,” he said.
Matranga wished the boy a happy stay in heaven
He added, “I know in heaven right now, if there’s mud in heaven, he probably has found it and is jumping and dancing in it. Running up and down the streets of gold. In his overalls. He probably has golden overalls. We’re going to miss him a lot.”
